Took my 4.5 year old and 7 year old girls here. They loved it! 2 giant rooms filled with hands-on experiments and educational games. It's free, but worthy of a $5 or $10 donation per kid. I've been to worse museums that had an admission. Perfect for an hour to 90 minutes. When you're done, take it outside to the playground. Let them get their energy out for another hour or so. Make an afternoon of it and pack a lunch... they have tables outside.
Free/donation only...fairly small but kids love it. Bring swimsuit or change of clothes for outside playground that includes water play. There's also a lovely carousel to ride for $1.00.
Worth the trip! I took my 6 and 8 year old to the explorium for a "quick" trip before dinner. We spent nearly 2 hours in the room. Granted it is small, however there's a lot to do. The playground area is unlike any I've seen before. There are water canons so be prepared or have your children steer clear. They really enjoyed themselves and already want to return before we go home. Best part...IT'S FREE!!!!!! (You can make a donation at the explorium entrance).
There are many exhibits and ongoing activities at the Science Explorium facility. My grandchildren enjoy going there and their ages range from 4 to 12. There is something of interest for all of them!
This explorium is very child friendly, with all hands-on activities. Children can learn about sound, electricity, movement, building, and much, much more.
Lots of scientific principles presented in a fun way. The kids had fun playing with the different objects and movable items that illustrated scientific principles. They liked being photographed next to R2D2. As a retired science teacher, I enjoyed reliving some of the adventures I had with my students.
If you have kids ranging from 4 to 12 it is a great place to take them. It is not so big that they get lost and has a little bit of everything, even an IMax theater. It is getting a little old and it needs some renovations but overall I would go there.
My granddaughter had a great time trying out all the hands-on activities. There were two rooms with lots to do and learn. You could easily spend an hour here. Admission is free.
It's small but worth it, very cool and interesting things for the little ones, I'll said around 3 to 8 years old. You probably will be there for like an hour at the most, the good thing is that is inside the Sugar Sand Park so you can spend sometime in the park and when ever your a little bit to hot go inside to the Children Science Explorium and do some activities under the AC, they accept donations, $ 5 per person.
Go ahead, make some noise, lots of noise... In a sound proof booth that shows the people outside the booth how loud your screams are. A parent's dream. So much fun! A definite must do if you have kids. Love it. Great for elementary and preschool kids. A fun afternoon activity.
