Ten of us had lunch in the circle restaurant before watching a matinee performance by the Birmingham Royal ballet. Food was excellent, presentation really good too, wine list short but good and nicely priced. Only let down by the service - not attentive enough.
Just love the Hippodrome; we saw "Top Hat" and it was a great production. In recent years also been to Hippodrome Ballet performances as well. Never disappoints!

We have a great Theatre as the Birmingham Hippodrome. I have used this place since I was a child when I used to see a lot of shows beside my Father who would do a stint there as he was a St Johns Ambulance Volunteer. I still use the Theatre now as done so for many years with my Husband to see some lovely shows. its as good if not better than the theatres in London.
Every year me and my family go and see the panto and we are never disappointed, each year they some how seem to top it!! Fantastic family shows, something for everybody
This is a great theatre that delivers first class performances. If you love ballet, dance and music, this is the place to see it. Every event I have had the pleasure of seeing here has been breathtaking. Make the Rep a reason to visit Birmingham.
Have seen a lot of very good shows here and have given tats as gifts .Everybody was very grmeatfull and enjoyed themselves.
First visit to a really lovely facility. The show was excellent, seats good and a reasonably priced bar with great service.
Visited the Panto in February and absolutely loved it , Brum always produces a brilliant one every year and this one was no exception . Matt Slack was awesome ( think a bald Brian Conley ) and the rest of the cast excelled in a wonderful theatre. The reason for the review isn't the Panto ( good as it was ) but for outstanding customer service . I chose our 2 seats from the seating plan as I am 6' 8" and need lots of leg room . The seat's I picked were hopeless and I had no legroom or space in front of them ( Tip: Don't trust the on-line seating plan , ring and ask the staff ). I had a word with the usherette ( Lovely lady called Glynis ) and she agreed my seats were no good . She rang her boss on the radio and between them they organised a box for myself and my wife , this had acres of leg room and meant we could enjoy the Panto in comfort . Nowadays good customer service is a dying thing but our spirits were raised by the care and attention shown by Glynis and the Hippodrome management , thank's to all concerned and see you soon.
Travelled down from Newcastle to spend valentines evening watching Matthew Bournes production of Edward Scissorhands. The show was well worth traveling for and I'd highly recommend it to all. The Hippodrome itself seemed a fairly modern theatre and had some comfortable areas to sit and relax before the show began. Bar prices were a little steep, but aren't they always at big events? A cracking weekend.
