I enjoyed walking around the Boardwalk, definitely good exercise. It was not crowded which also made the experience quite nice. I hope they get more stores before I go back. Got some great buys on children's clothing. However, there was not enough stores offering ladies clothing. I will go back in a few months.
The Louisiana Boardwalk offers a variety of shopping and food. It's family friendly and the outdoor shopping experience in idea for visitors and locals. You can always find great deals at the Boardwalk. Stroll along the Boardwalk and take in the beauty of the River River, day or night.
Great shopping for the home & family. We are partial to Wilson's Leather on the Boardwalk, and can't seem to leave their without a shopping bag, or two.
I visited the boardwalk 2-3 times and majority of the shops were just okay, nothing upscaled at all. The place is well laid out and planned but they could really do with some nice shops with variety of items to encourage people to shop because I never felt inclined to spend my money everytime when I visited. This is the kind of place to come to if you want to get out of the house or hotel for a bit.
that was my first visit there...it was beautiful and well laid out, very fun... the one thing that I really liked was the music playing continuously whereever you walked, very laid back and relaxingwill definitely go back when its warmer weather :)
Was a holiday weekend and it was Mardis Gras also so it was very crowded. Had to park on the 4th floor of the parking garage and walk quite a way to even get to the elevator.
"THE" place to go when you visit Bossier City. Shopping, restaurants, pleasant landscaping...even a place for the kiddies to enjoy the kiddy-rides. BEST PLACE EVER!
I really had a nice time at the Boardwalk, it was so nice, I didn't realize how much walking we did. They have more than I ever could have imagined, and the weather was perfect for the browsing. It was clean, safe, and had plenty of seating areas to sit and eat our ice cream. Another place I can't wait to visit again, when visiting Bossier. PS. If possible, go in the early morning, traffic get's horrendous as the morning progresses.
Very nice group of stores - I love the Farmers Almanac store in particular. Good restaurants if you want to get away from the hotel and casinos for a bit.
It's a fun place to visit for the whole family, with special events on major holidays, like snow for Christmas. Great restaurants to choose from, some with outdoor dining, store for shopping, a trolley ride when your legs get tired and close to major hotels and casinos. Also a movie theater and other attractions. Parking is available in the parking garage and escalator, stairs and elevators take you to ground level where the fun begins. The only draw back, it's open to the weather, but this is Louisiana, chances are the weather will change within the hour.
