Could not believe we got to not only kick up our heels, but that we got to do so to the Pine Leaf Boys! Great dance floor, friendly locals, good and inexpensive drinks, chairs, and close up views to the stage. And all of this for no cover. This was the most fun I have had in a long time. Don't miss it if you are in the area
We went to La Poussiere when we visited the Lafayette area. We stayed in Breaux Bridge and enjoy Cajun music. They have Cajun music every Sunday afternoon. Everyone was very friendly, we had a great time.
This was the highlight of our trip. Great music and how much fun can a person have? There were all ages here and everybody dances. No food but they have a bar. There was a $10 cover charge and it was some of the best money I have spent in a long time. Don't miss it!
This place is a local club, attended by local folks that love great music and dancing. What fun! Whether you are a dancer or a watcher, when you are in Breaux Bridge, Saturday night should be reserved for La Pouissiere.
This was a place all the people(Heberts ) in my family use to go when we came into town to dance. Thank you tatas daughter
Six of us stopped here on a Sunday afternoon as it was very close to Au Bayou Teche Bed and Breakfast where we were all staying. There was a $10 pp cover charge but it was well worth it. They have Cajun music every Sunday afternoon. We all had a great time dancing and talking to the friendly local people.
If you like to dance and enjoy an authentic experience, this is the place to be. It doesn't get any more real than this. An experience to be remembered for a lifetime. Even if you don't dance, you will enjoy the music and spectating. Oh, just in case you didn't know, la poussiere means "the dust" in French. It refers to the saw dust on the floor to keep your shoes sliding. Laissez le bon temps rouler! AAAiiEEEE!
If you want to here some good Cajun music, go here. This is the place to see people who know how to dance and have a good time.
A genuine Cajun dance hall, one of a kind in the shrinking pool of places like it. Just go! Great music always & you can meet & talk to the friendly Cajun regulars or the regular out-of-owners who frequent La Poussière when they're in town. You won't be disappointed.
