Dear "Narrow Road", We are sorry you don't like our lane, or our ponds. Unfortunately, they were here when we got here. Many people find the ponds and the outdoors in general quite pleasing. Being "in the sticks" is part of what many people like about our winery - it's quiet. Since you had been here before, I'm not sure why you were displeased by our location - you knew what to expect.Because you did not find our wine to your liking does not mean it's "poor quality". Most of our wines have won medals. As for reservations for the music, all of our advertising says that reservations are "highly recommended". We don't say 'required' because we sometimes don't fill up, in which case we can accommodate walk ins. That is not 'double-talk", just the circumstances. The size of the room is irrelevant, since we don't claim to be an auditorium or music hall. In the future, if you have a poor experience somewhere, anywhere, I'm sure they would appreciate hearing about it from you in person, not as a bad review on some anonymous website.
Dear "dull Atmosphere",As you did not explain what you found 'dull' about the atmosphere, I'm afraid I don't know how to respond. Likewise with "cheap" and dated". What do you mean by that, and what did you expect? While it's true we are not one of the large, fancy wineries, many customers find our winery to be 'cozy and quiet'. As with any place of business, we cannot hope to meet everyone's expectations, even if we knew what they were - we can't be everything to everybody. It is not physically possible to please everyone. We're sorry you were one of the people we couldn't please.
went in with my husband for a wine tasting, the owner was less than friendly. we were the only people in there and still she demanded a credit card for the two 7$ wine flights we ordered and sat down to enjoy on one of the maybe 6 tables in the whole place. i told her we only had cash and she still kept the 100$ bill we gave her to "hold" .. then watched another older couple walk in behind us who had also not been there before yet they were not asked to show payment. the decor is corny and 1980's. i will say however the wine was good, although over priced.
Beautiful place to go for fun or to relax. The help is a lot of fun and very knowledgeable . JP and Jodie are a hoot.Every time we go out the owners come out chitchat with us.Sundays can get pretty busy because the bands they have but you can call and make a reservation..There is nice big lake with a deck on it.My wife and i love the Merlot. Hope you enjoy .
Was really looking forward to checking out the winery since it's close to home, and we really like one of their wines. But our greeting was rather unfriendly, and when explained of the "tasting order" which I totally understand, she seemed to get rather "stern" with me when I chose to go out of order. Thats my choice..its her job to tell me of the recommended order, but my choice to taster out of order.
Similar experience to other reviewers-- the wine is decent, but the owner is less than friendly. the decor is more than outdated. I live very nearby but prefer to drive to a winery in Cuyahoga Falls where we are treated like guests.
Discovered that this place has live entertainment every Sunday 5-7. Can bring in your own food while enjoying one of their many wine choices in their lake view room. Afterward, took a stroll in their vineyard. Quite enjoyable---most certainly heightened by my wonderful date.
Great to sit out by the lake with a bottle of wine and some chinese take out. Girls nights are very fun.
We recently had my sisters rehersal dinner here and was my first experience at a winery. Wine and scenery were great but the lady owner was very rude to many of the guest. She was not friendly or welcoming to her establishment. Will not ever go back and do not reccomend!!!!!!!
Very nice quiet place to relax and enjoy nice wine. Great service and nice people.Nice view over looking the ponds.
