There are a lot of large concert venues in the Denver/Boulder area. This one is intimate and a very nice place to enjoy music or whatever event is being held. It beats the big arenas in town.
The parking garage is nearby - not connected, but across the street. There is always room. The venue itself is not so huge that you need binoculars! We have seen Carrie Underwood, a Cirque du Soleil show and several others things there and do not feel like we are lost in the crowd.
This is a decent mid-size arena and the acoustics aren't half bad. The venue is clean with several convenient entries and exits. WSMFP!!!
Your basic indoor arena that has concerts. Hard concrete floor, expensive box seats, reserved seats are far from the stage. Given that it's an arena, it's pretty good. But, still ... you're going to an arena ...
Been here for several shows, some where I had tickets on the floor and some where I was in a suite. It's very clean and has a cool atmosphere. The seats are very comfortable and the suites adequately stocked. I typically prefer smaller venues when listening to music, like the Ogden or Bluebird, but I really like the 1stBank Center. I'll definitely be back.
An intimate venue that offers all the amenities of larger venues (including the $9.00 drinks) but without the claustrophobic-crowded-cattle herding experience.
We have been to several concerts/performances at the 1stBank Center. The most recent was in March 2013. I will say that the acoustics are much better than they were when the venue first opened. The remodel/retrofitting they did a few years ago with a change of ownership has definitely helped. However, the seats are really tight (mostly lacking legroom but also in width). Maybe we're just getting wider...
I have been to several events at the 1stBank Center, both were a lot of fun, but my biggest complaint is the design of the arena makes for bad audio in certain sections. I went to a Cirque du soliel presentation, and we sat just of center, to the right, and the bass took over the entire show. We saw the same show in Loveland the next week, and it was awesome. I was on the floor for that show, but it was like night and day.
I have seen several concerts here, as well as a Cirque du Soleil show. I just don't like the acoustics. It always seems like no matter where you sit, the sound is a little "off".
I'm not a fan of this venue in general simple because of the location. The drive can be a struggle and I have gotten lost both going and leaving. The signs aren't too helpful when it comes to taking the right road to and from. As for the venue itself, it's a pretty average indoor arena. It is definitely smaller than the Pepsi Center and you pretty much have good seats no matter where you are. I had second row seats about two sections from stage left for Nine Inch Nails and they were fantastic. I could see everything perfectly and was very close to the stage. I wish a lot of major name acts would stop booking here, though. The tickets sell out faster and it isn't an easy place to get to. There aren't a lot of surrounding things to do either. I think the only thing open when I got there was a TCBY about a block away. It's mostly apartments in the immediate area.
