It's pretty hard to find a bad park in Michigan probably impossible if you are on the water. All parks are tree filled and well maintained.
nice play area for kids. nice picnic areas. employees will help take your cooler, etc. to the picnic areas on golf carts. charcoal bar-b-qs. wave pool is lots of fun. went to the 4th of July fireworks. awesome! very clean and well maintained restrooms. great hiking and biking routes.
This is a really nice park to walk your dog( good dog friendly tree lined paths) nice meandering bike paths too. I love to bring my camera when the Lilly pads are in bloom! What a wonderful site to behold. The Wave Pool is nice too, but now that our kids are older we just enjoy all that the park and river have to offer.
This is a great Metropark for a day of family fun. The Wave pool is awesome and the play area for children is great. They have a place you can buy food or bring a nice picnic and enjoy it as a family. Fishing, hiking, boating, you name it Lake Erie has it all.....really is a very large park.
We visit this metro park just to walk the paths. Beautifully maintained and full of information. Great place for birdwatchers in particular!
The park is rather small and there is not much commercialism. That's the way I like it. Last Time we were there, a church was conducting a baptism in the lake. It was a beautiful service.
Beautiful Park with a Heavy Amount Of Birdlife Especially Early Spring And Late Summer.....Great Fireworks Around The 4Th Every Year.
Since I retired I've been walking on the bike path right along the shoreline 2 to 3 times a week and I just feel so blessed! The views of the lake are spectacular! Plus you can see the lotus flower beds in the lake. These flowers are so huge and just beautiful. This park has some of the largest flower beds in Michigan. Besides that I've seen several deer and plenty of swans. The park has several picnic areas and numerous playgrounds for children. This is a lovely park, no doubt about it.
This is the closest park from our home to one of the Great Lakes. It's simply a nice place to picnic and relax, taking the views of Erie.
The park is very nice affording a splendid view of Lake Erie. The nature trails are very nice too. A lot of wild life can be spotted here. We saw 3 deer on the nature trail. There is also a nice bike path that goes through the park. An admission is required for entry. They have a wave pool that is open in the summer too.
