No waves, few people and one of my favourite beaches in Buzios! Just a few minutes walk from Geriba.
Very relaxing, hidden little beach close to Geriba. Ask the locals for the little passageway to get to Ferradurinha from Geriba that way you wont have to walk in circles! ;)
So lovely. Clear water, lots of places to explore, and many activities. Saw a few tourists trying to drive down the road and had to turn around, bottoming out their car so park on the road (its not a long walk)There is this great little bar on the walk called Tudo de Bom. We stopped there for a few caipirinhas and they were really good and ended up having the best shrimp pastries we've ever had. SO GOOD!!! The guys there are all smiles and it was really fun!
This beach was my second fav beach just behind Joao Fernandinho because it was exotic and stunningly beautiful. The water was so beautiful and was crystal clear. The rocks were climbable and some people were jumping off certain spots into the water. I climbed down one area and swam back to shore. We rented a stand-up paddle board for cheap and paddled to the hidden beach on the side of the rocks. On the way, we managed to see 3 sea turtles. They love to eat red algae which is located all over on the sides of this beach. The water was calm and many families were swimming, kayaking, and paddle-boarding. The service was great, but the credit card machine wouldn't work because there was a bad signal. So, bring cash if you want to eat and drink. We ordered a seafood platter which was fried and I was a little disappointed. But, that was my fault for not asking. The other platters we ordered at the other beaches were grilled. I was drinking capirinhas (which were delicious) and forgot to ask if the food was fried. But, they gave us a lot of food and we never waited for a drink. It was busy for a Wednesday, but after 1 PM the beach cleared out quite a bit. We found that many people beach hop. So, the afternoons were always more fun and less crowed at all of the beaches including this one. We will def go back here. We enjoyed the people and the exotic and gorgeous water.
We were lucky to be there when it was not crowded at all. There are no waves. It felt like being in a private beach that looks like a swimming pool. My preferred beach in buzios. On the way back, we even enjoyed live reggea music.
Lots of fun water sports, waterski, banana boats, SUP but cold water and not much beach space. Was too windy the day we went with chairs blowing away.
Only problem was lack of toilet facilities, just a couple of porta potties at one end. But chair/umbrella rentals are only about $12 for a day.
It stays in a very calm and beautiful bay, without waves, where you can go kayaking or practice stand up paddle. It is good for diving too. The water usually is a bit cold, specially during the summer.
This beach is very crowded in season period but the water is lovely fresh like the ocean is. Tha sand is nothing special.
Too busy. I thought there were many other cleaner & less populated beaches in Buzios. Numerous food restaurants but really none with a restaurant on the beach. They would take your order & deliver which was great service but sometimes difficult when you're crammed in on the beach. I would prefer Rocka Fish restaurant with a smaller but less populated beach & better quality food.
