A few minutes walk from the car park, the view of Bryce Canyon is really fabulous and well worth the effort.
The view is incredible, and the path really helped get the biggest variety of views. This was our favorite spot in Bryce.
The incredible view of the rock formations was spectacular, the color changed as the sun hits from different angles. Walking was a bit difficult, you have to be careful for the ground is rocky and at times slippery.
Just when you think you cannot be more awed by a view, you come across Bryce Point. There is a short walk out to the viewing platform and it is simply an inspiring sight. You can see arches in the rock walls and hoo doos and it all seems to change as the sun hits the different areas. Be sure to stop for a look.
All of the points are a must see! Take time and learn about the canyon, the history and the process!!
Probably the best view from the rim (although there are no bad views really). The sun will be mostly behind you allowing for great photos. A great place to start your navigation along the rim as we also started here and worked our way north along the rim driving from view point to view point.
Bryce Point is a great introduction to Bryce Canyon (the first main stop on the shuttle bus). The view is truly spectacular. It is less crowded earlier in the day, before the tour buses arrive. It can be really windy, so hold onto your hats! There are very steep drop offs if you move away from the path, so be careful trying to take the perfect selfie!
My previous National Park experience was limited to Yosemite and the Grand Canyon. Bryce is completely different - with such natural beauty it takes your breath away. Do get up at the 'crack of dawn' and see the sunrise over Bryce Point - while it is cold and windy there, it was worth it! This is not a part with an heavy emphasis on hiking (unlike Yosemite). There are a few easy / short hikes that are worth doing that get you up close and personal with the pinnacles. Definitely something to see and drink in - take your time here.
Out of Zion & Escalante, Bryce Point was my favorite part of the trip!!! Easy to find, easy hike down...going up was a tad more strenuous. (sense the sarcasm) bring LOTS of water & a snack or light lunch. October was FABULOUS weather!!! Not a cloud in the sky but always check the weather!!! Flash floods & quick sand should not be taken lightly! No quick sand on this hike. Very clear trail. THE BEST VIEWS IN UTAH!! Friendly for all ages (watch the youngens)
My favorite spot in the whole of Bryce Canyon for the awe amazing vista of the amphitheater. Just a short walk from the car park for this incredible view.
