Great walk along the Ovens River with suspension bridge cross overs. The history along the walk is great as there are the old diggings from the Chinese with the tailings cut through hard rock which must have been incredibly difficult. Keep an eye out for snakes though. There are even areas where you can walk down and put your feet into the river.
Easy walking along the Ovens river, short and long versions with bridges to cross river. Can see where the goldminers extracted gold & read history of area along the way. Easy access from several spots stay five minutes or five hours as you please.
The scenery around the Ovens river is beautiful, took lots of photographs and enjoyed a lovely walk in the sunshine. The walk is not too difficult and as long as you watch your step in some places, is doable by most age groups.
Bright is such a beautiful place and a great chance to enjoy the mountains and river. This is a great was to see the river and enjoy an easy walk
This is a lovely walk and epitomises the essence of Bright. Take a bottle of water with you on a hot day.
We enjoyed a leisurely stroll along the river in the evening. There are a number of birds to keep you entertained. It is a easy walk on a good track. Definitely would do it again.
Very historical walk outlining the gold rush days. Beware of frogs on the track at night after returning from the Bright Brewery!!!
Don't forget to do the Caynon walk which runs from the Cottages right into the centre of Bright. This would be spectatular in Autumn with all the poplar tress around.
We love the canyon walk as it is close to town, picturesque and tranquil. You can ride your bikes to the start then it's a lovely walk with lots to see
Just a nice stroll, up and down the tracks . . .water passing by with plenty of places to stop and erect your deck chair and read a book for a while and relax . .
