  I always enjoy coming out to this park for hiking. It's really updated with lots of ammenities but also has a lot woods and rolling hills away from all of that. The lake is really quite beautiful. If you walk around it you can see remnants of what looks like a bridge going out to the island. This place has a great rental area and what looks to be an amazing playground. So whether solo or with your family and friends this park is worth a look.

  Great hiking trails, beautiful scenery. Have some patience and you might see some great wildlife...deer, wild turkey, geese, coyote, osprey (depending on the season).

  Good place to walk. You can walk long or short and in summer it is pretty. Good bicycle paths and you can extend your walk with other paths. See wildlife (deer and coyote) and birds.

  Our family loves to visit this park! It's not your average park: concessions available as well as kayak, canoe and paddleboat rentals. In the winter you can rent cross country skiis and I believe snowshoes to use on the trails. There are lots of trails for walking, biking or blading. There is a fantastic play area for the kids! An area for toddlers with sand and small equipment, tire swings and lots of climbing structures in addition to three additional play structures. Even older kids love this place! In the summer they also operate three "misters", which the kids love - they will get wet, so bring a change of clothes! They have indoor restrooms, which is nice. Staff is very friendly.

  I think we take for granted the resources available to our community!I cross country skied a this park today and it was magnificent!Can you imagine taking your out of town guest to this park to cross country ski!!?? (they rent boots/ski's/poles cheap). What a wonderful experience.If you are looking for a great way to spend a beautiful winter day I highly recommend heading here to ski (they have a variety of lengths and levels of difficulty so it should accommodate most levels)
