Had a lovely evening meal while visiting friends in Glasgow. We had good food, good service and the ambiance was very pleasant. Will definitely be back again next time I am in Glasgow.
Enjoy the family atmosphere of this south side venue in the heart of Busby.Experience seasonal food with complementary wines and beers in a relaxed environment.
Popped in here for some lunch on the passing after spending an afternoon in the sun at Rouken Glen Park. We were glad we did has the service and food were lovely. Nothing fancy, but hit the spot all the same. Would go back next time we're in the area.
Had another great night at the White Cart. The food was fantastic and I have to say they don't stint on portions. Make sure you are hungry before your visit. We were served by the very attentive Lucy who remembered us from our last visit and when I got mixed up with the wine list and pointed to the white she knew we preferred the red. Not bad considering it was a few months ago we had been eating there. The menu had changed since our last visit and is a little bigger again but not too big. All in all a great night . Thanks guys and especially Lucy
The White Cart is kind of our local and we eat there a lot. I was there yesterday with 6 friends. The place was busy (it was Friday) and it was 2pm but there weren't that many staff around. However, the server we enticed to our table was efficient and got the fairly complicated drinks and food orders right, just forgetting one person's wine order. The food was very good. We all had the 2 courses for 12 quid menu and most of us ordered the poached egg/black pudding/bacon starter followed by fish and chips. The starter was first rate - there's definitely a good chef working in this kitchen - and the fish was okay, if a bit heavy on the batter. This is a family place so we knew not to expect fine dining and in fairness there was only one child running around noisily. All in all, a good experience and we'll be back.
Spent a wonderful Hogmanay here with a large group of friends. Enjoyed a 5 course high quality meal cooked to perfection in cosy surroundings. One of our local pub restaurants where you always receive a warm welcome from Anne and her staff who are friendly, efficient and very helpful.
Was there on wed 26th Feb with friends.. I had the liver n grilled bacon with chive mash and thoroughly enjoyed it. Other friends had the rump steak with chilli bourbon sauce and chunky chips, which they loved. They also had the Creme Brûlée which got the big thumbs up. A great friendly family run restaurant with excellent staff who couldn't do enough for you. Lovely surroundings and ambience . Was also there couple months ago for Sunday Roast Dinner. Beef is really tasty and the yorkies and roast potatoes were lovely. No frozen crap here!!
Arrived for a bite to eat. As expected it was busy being Mothers Day but disappointed to be told whilst we could wait no rough indication of time could be given. Decided an open ended wait wasn't worth it and as we were leaving was informed that everywhere else close by would be as busy. Managed to go round the corner to another establishment where staff were great ...found a table and enjoyed a good lunch.
Went for Sunday lunch. Slow to take our order and our drinks to come but food was well worth the wait. Very tasty and massive portions, a very enjoyable lunch.
Great little place, lovely food and service. Service was a little slow and disjointed but welcoming nonetheless.Food ordered:Pulled pork burger. First time trying and wasn't a huge fan of how it tasted as it was cooked in Ale. Quite a cheap tasting ale. Fish and chips...plates barely cleared due to the massive size of the fish but comments were positive.Mushroom starter was delicious!Would dine again as its local to my mums and is a nice relaxed atmosphere and very reasonable pricing.
