This is a great little racing museum not far from Madison. There's a lot to look at and some fun things to read or watch. They also have a nice gift shop for fans. The best part about the stop is that it's free! Plan on spending 30-45 min for your visit.
Our little boy got us interested in racing and we live nearby, so we came to visit the Matt Kenseth Museum. All trophies from his wins are there, including the Winston Cup, and a nice collection of cars--one wrecked, one early car, and some later Sprint Cup cars right off the track. Lots of his old racing suits too. Matt's sister or aunt are usually behind the desk and are very friendly and down to earth.
I made the mistake of bringing my four young kids here because they wanted to get a birthday gift for one of their friends who is a big NASCAR fan. I will be the first to admit that I could have managed my kids a bit better. There was just too much eye candy that wasn't supposed to be touched and the shop manager was quite agitated by their presence. Unfortunately, I suggest leaving the kids at home, or only bringing the ones who can follow the rules.
This is an awesome place to visit if you are into Nascar at all. It is a fan club store, so no admission fee. See some of Matt's race cars and trophys. Lots of cool stuff to purchase too.
We are from st louis area and drove 6 hrs just to go to the musuem ....it was well worth it ! Kelly, Matt's sister, was extremely nice and highly spoke of matt and his family. The musuem was very well kept and organized kelly does a good job keeping things that way. Thank you for making our roadtrip great and two thumbs up to their parents who has done a amazing job on raising their children!
What a great little surprise, in the middle of no-where, to find the Kenseth Racing Museum. All Matt's racers, from dirt track to high banked tri-oval NASCAR machines were there. Trophies all over the rooms. Great selection of gifts and souvenirs for sale, plenty of help to enable you to pick up the take me home item. Just plain fun for all ages.
love the memorbilia!!!!! this place is great for people to learn and for avid race car fans.. its exciting, fun, and you can make some good memories visiting this place
Since we live in Wisconsin, we have been to Matt's museum many times, it is a very fun place to go for any race fan even if Matt isn't your favorite driver as there are lots of interesting things to see. Matt's sister works there and she an Sue are always very friendly and helpful. We are so fortunate to have this facility to go and visit. Matt's visits their also make it very special, he does visits at least a coupe times a year.
Free museum. Fun to see the huge trophies and Matt's cars. We live nearby and it was interesting to see NASCAR stuff. Close to Madison, WI if you are traveling and Cambridge has a lot of neat stores.
If you are a Nascar buff this is an interesting place to visit and it's free. Several actual race cars trophies and other items. Also has small gift/souvenir shop.
