Troon - awesome golfing again! Enjoyed the course and the views. Fairways and greens were in excellent shape. Would definitely return.
We love to bring our friends here for Saturday Brunch. The view is spectacular, and the food is excellent.
This was a first class experience all the way. We played with the annual $52.80 deal that occurs the last two weeks of September. It was all inclusive and normal freight is $145. Full price is a lot but relative to what you get and the world of golf, it would still be worth every penny. Our day included unlimited range balls, cart, cold bottled water in the cart, tees, simply everything you need to enjoy the day. The course itself is extremely challenging througout. The front nine wind a bit through a neighborhood with simply beautiful houses. The fairways are long, very well maintained and the greens were also extremely well cared for. They were fast but more as a function of recent mowing. The back nine are a bit more of an adventure with nature. Lots of pine, wildlife and simply challenging golf. Many courses in Colorado are fairly forgiving in terms of second shots. This one is not. On most of the holes, you need to be generally straight as there is a lot of nature and not a lot of second chances. You have some forgiveness but by all means, bring extra balls. The scenery around the course, especially the last two or three holes makes it an amazing adventure. The clubhouse is awesome, great food and drinks and attentive staff. From the first interaction with the starter to the closing moments with the club cleaners, it was simply a fantastic experience. I've played many courses throughout Colorado and this is by far, without hesitation, the best of the best. If you are looking to entertain clients, simply enjoy a round with friends or looking to just get out and play a round, this course will leave you wanting more. Enjoy the experience and hit 'em straight!
Wow....what a disappointment. The worst customer service I have experienced in my whole life. We heard nice things about the restaurant at The Ridge country club and since we were visiting from out of town we decided to go with local family. We were a 6 top table (but easy orders since we had 3 children who barely ate). The original waitress (who also doubled as the bartender?!) handed us off 1/2 way through our meal to a new waitress who seemed very out of it! Our food orders were all wrong (missing sides, missing drinks, salted vegetables when we asked for steamed only, missing plates, 20 minutes and 3 requests to bring out the "complimentary nachos" as advertised on the happy hour menu, to name just a few). She could not understand that we wanted split checks, and she spent over 30 minutes trying to run our credit card/s. Her sentence structure was grammatically off and behavior was odd (stumbling, off topic comments, too informal with conversation, etc.) I am not sure she was in the right frame of mind or maybe she was completely nervous since it was her first day as she finally admitted after a series of problems we had with our meals and general dining experience (I question why the original waitress would hand off a 6 top table to a completely new waitress halfway through the meal in the first place). Regardless, she was completely inappropriate trying to make conversation for too long at our table while neglecting her other tables. We went to dinner at 4:00PM so the place was practically empty still she was having major trouble attending to her 2 or 3 tables. It was really horrible and the original bartender/waitress was extremely rude when we left. Even the beautiful views could not make up for the odd, incompetent, and overtly rude staff. By the way if you bring children just a heads up...they give you pencils instead of crayons on the children's coloring menu....just another example of thoughtless and odd customer services. $15.00 for wings...the most expensive I have ever seen!
We just hosted our annual event, with a sellout, our best attendance in years. Zach was incredible to work with and all course staff were on point all day. I would recommend the course to all groups.
Signed up for a 3:20 pm tee time using their online system, then called to confirm immediately after with the pro shop, all good. When we arrived that afternoon we were told that we did not have a tee time, and that they could not get us out before 4:10 pm. I showed the pro shop the confirmation, but they honestly didn't care. Apparently a number of local regulars wanted to get out, and the clubhouse just overwrote the tee times so their friends/regulars could golf. Not professional at all.Customer service? Not here!
In the spring, summer or fall, schedule a happy hour out on the patio at The Ridge. You will be happy that you did! It is so relaxing to sit back and enjoy the views with a glass of wine or a fresh mojito. They have great happy hour specials with discounted drinks and appetizers. Dinner there is average. Typical choices such as French dip, fish and chips, ribs, steaks, salads, etc. Definitely go though for the patio view.
Spectacular golf course and a great staff helped to wow our players in our annual golf tournament. This was our first year at The Ridge at Castle Pines and we would gladly host future events there. Thank you Zach and all of your great staff for helping to make our tournament a great success. Scott
Had some relatives in town so we decided to come here for lunch last weekend. We sat outside overlooking the 18th fairway and the food was fantastic and reasonable which was surprising considering how expensive it is to play this course. The service however was slow and our server, Casey, was not friendly at all. Something was wrong that day, she definitely had a very bad attitude and seemed not at all happy to be working that day. Again, other than the service, the food and views were awesome.
This is a great golf course managed by Troon. First class service. Perfect condition from tee box to greens. Also nice restaurant
