Punjab University is a great place for education and exploration for further studies. One can make more friends over here. It has a good library and good staff members

Happen to visit this place recently.Loved it for its natural surroundings and student facilities. No doubt this is adjudged best univeristy recently.Student center was a nice place.Good food at unbeliveably reasonable prices. No wonder you find many locals also taking a bite.
Panjab University is housed in well laid out environs. It has touches of Corbusiers architectural legacy evident in every nook and cranny. The museum and the arts blocks especially reflect the grandeur of the city of Chandigarh and its forward looking french town planner
I think the most underrated and untapped area of the University would be the various Folk Festivals or Events organised by the University, especially those held by the Foreign Students, these can be used to attract tourists if they are advertised properly, I would like to watch these but I only get to see them in the newspaper, the next day. Other days and events organised by the university can also be utilised to gain some capital and make it a viable tourist spot. For birdwatchers of both kind (pun intended) this is a good place, lots of greenery attracts birds and alike, recently rare migratory birds were observed - http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/chandigarh/Rare-migratory-birds-spotted-at-Panjab-University/articleshow/39649223.cmsChandigarh is host for feathered winter migrants and this is a perfect spot for them. There are also Fruit Bat Colonies here and these too can be a treat for your camera.
I touched the ground on the gate and entered it with prayer on my lips.Visit this time was in a car instead of cycle I used as a student. In a flashback all those days of fun, laughter and achievement came. Felt very touched.
It is just like any other University campus, and if you like to get some youthful energy of the environment, go and spend some time around the Students' Centre which has several eateries around and a good coffee house on the top floor.
I was here October when attending international youth conference. The friendly staf and students. I'm wondering to come back :)
If you have some friends in here, you are always gonna enjoy.Young and enthu crowd makes this place lively.Eating joints will also force you to visit this place again and again. Perfcet for gehri and street food.
