It looks better on the pictures :) Well it is very short walk to the waterfall and there is an option to have a meal in restaurant but prices are of course much higher then in town.
This is currently the only part of the nature park with free access. It is a 10 minute walk from the parking lot through a very clear path. The parking lot is adjacent to highway 251 and the entrance is clearly marked. From Chapada Dos Guimaraes it's about a 20 minute drive. Once you get to the viewpoint it is ideal for selfies with the waterfall and for landscape pictures. The path to the bottom of the waterfall is closed with barbwire and park officials will not let anyone through. Past the viewpoint are the admin offices for the reserve, a gift shop and a water fountain. It is a nice stop for both locals and travelers for a quick picture but it is not a hiking trail, neither lush forest nor a wildlife spot. You can be in and out in less than 30 minutes.
O entorno proporciona excelentes fotografias.
Based on my experience with other area attractions this one gets a 'very good'. It's easy to find, free to enter and the short trail to the viewpoint is nice. The waterfall itself is alright. Views of the forest and valley are actually more impressive. There is a gift shop to the left of the viewpoint, but nothing much else to see. They closed the trail that used to go behind and down to the bottom because of safety (according to a park employee, someone actually died after the pathway gave way). Give yourself about 30 minutes for this attraction.
nice waterfall, the largest in Chapada. You can only watch it from a distance because of falling rocks danger. The restaurant next to the viewpoint serves excellent food.
This place scores because you can actually find it because it is well sign posted and then you can access it for free. It is a small waterfall as in the pictures so not so exciting but there are nice views down the valley. If only the parks far more interesting and grander sites provided this access, then the whole area would really be worth a visit but at the moment unless you are passing through on the way to somewhere else I would not visit this area.
