lots of great folks have graced this campus.don't forget that ever.the academic excellence of this oldest university is worth applauding regardless of what you read in the paper.ancient trees in the Arboretumancient tomes in Wilson Libraryand the legends....
I went there for a lacrosse game vs UNC and the campus is breathtaking. This is more of a word of advise than a actual review: They do not allow signs bigger than 8x10 at a sporting event. I brought one bigger and they confiscated my sign that simply said Go Hop because of campus rules. Leave your signs at home if you attend a game here, they never gave it back.
Stop by the fountain of nolege...er Knowledge and tour the old quad. The oldest public university building in the US is right there.
It was a fun game and a great experience for kids thinking about going to college at UNC. Beautiful campus
Visit the main library - fantastic exhibit of Raleigh period furniture! It's a huge campus and worth booking onto a free tour. We were lucky to have our own tour-guide, a friend, studying there.
Chapel Hill offers the visitor a good view of its campus by foot, which today seems rare as so many campus grounds are spred out and scattered. The buildings were a walk back into a different time with greenery in abundance and walkways in every direction, neatly kept. A view of some monuments is possible on East Franklin Street from a comfy bench and you can walk up the two stairs near Battle Hall and enjoy the shade of the many trees as you visit the buildings bordering these grounds. I suppose the absence of benches on these grounds is to deter loitering as this seems to be mainly a walkway park for all the buildings in this area.Still it would be nice to have a bench or two to enjoy this lovely view of the campus in this area.Great campus to visit and view.
Yes, I am an alumnus and biased but it's true - it's hard work in a great setting amongst people who want to teach you and help you to succeed. Visit - walk around - talk to students and faculty. Have a coffee and sit and watch the world go by. Then apply and cross your fingers. Higher education is a privilege and Chapel Hill is a great place to consider as one of your options.
All thE buildings and flowers surrounding the Old Well remind visitors of a village. Lovely campus in any direction you travel.
A lovely campus especially during the spring when everything is in bloom and seeing the students bustling around. The museums are wonderful as well as the concert hall. Be sure to visit the Morehead Planetarium.Franklin St has some nice restaurants including Carolina Café and West 411.
This is a gorgeous campus. The instructors are excellent and the education is America's top value. You truly cannot go wrong with UNC Chapel Hill.
