Thank you for taking the time to share about your recent visit to Castle Farms. We’re glad you had a good time enjoying our beautiful gardens and historic stone buildings dating back to 1918. The Castle was never a private residence. Originally built as a working model dairy farm, it was once home to two hundred head of dairy cows. The cows are long gone, and the Castle gates are now open to visitors from around the world. Renowned as one of the Midwest’s premier bridal venues, Castle Farms is also open for historic self-guided and guided tours. In addition to the spectacular gardens and model railroad (one of the largest in the State of Michigan), the Castle buildings contain museum quality collections of castles, antique toys, and royal family memorabilia from around the world. We do hope you took the time to visit the 1918 Museum, which houses two collections of historic significance. The WWI collection dates back to the period of America’s involvement in the Great War, corresponding to the time period the Castle was built (1917-1918). The 1918 Sears catalog collection showcases items available in the Sears catalog, including antique toys, vintage clothing and household items, mousetraps, and more. We hope you’ll consider visiting again. We look forward to welcoming you to Castle Farms!
The Castle Farms is a perfect place for weddings. Be aware that they are booked for the next 3 years! Their edifice is unbelievable and worthwhile to visit and explore.Amazingly this used to be a dairy farm! After the farm closed the edifice became in dire disrepair. It was purchase three times, the last one who purchased it in 2001 is a lady named Linda Mueller. She did extensive repairs and made it so that it looked more as a castle than a dairy farm.We explored everything there was to see and we were impressed. The wedding receptions here are out of this world! Probably it is quite expensive as well! They even have a Model Railroad right behind the castle. It is huge. Kids sure like it. Their favorite spot.I preferred sitting near the lake, with a view on the castle. Relaxing and a gorgeous view! We stayed here for 3 hours and didn't regret even for a minute!
