That's what they're most known for! The maze and it's def worth it, especially if you got kids. They also have plenty of fresh fruit and veggies to buy. Worth a visit, especially during fall.
Excellent collection of mazes. The giant corn maze is well developed and one of the most challenging mazes I have encountered. Hayrides are available to a pumpkin patch. Snacks, cider, and cider doughnuts are available for purchase. A couple members of the staff were obnoxiously disrespectful to the children and teens entering the maze. The farm management needs to ensure professional development in how to display authority and earn respect. If I saw my child talked to in such a manner from the staff as I did the female maze lead, there would be some consequences. A large group of unruly teenagers visited at night and there were even police officers on hand to assist as a standard precaution.
I took my son here before Halloween to go through the mazes. He was 9 at the time and we spent close to 2 hours in there finding some clues several times and never finding our way through. There were different colored sections and one or two of them we never found out how to get into, you could see them from the 3 bridges but it was just too difficult. We did have some fruit snacks to keep us going but eventually just wanted to get out of the big maze before dark. We were lucky to find a parking spot in the small lot. It was an okay experience but very far from home at almost an hour one way in Saturday traffic. We did a smaller maze which was probably way too easy to figure out, then my son did the rope maze for a bit before we left. They did try to limit people in the maze by timing when new groups could enter but it was just too hard. Other people would ask us if we knew where we were going and then we'd see other groups again and again after walking in different directions. There were helpers on the bridges with maps that offered some guidance but I never wanted them to tell me exactly where to go..
Visited with my family to pick apples, but was a terrible and unpleasant experience. Not only was the selection of apple trees limited but the customer service was disappointing and the two individuals we dealt with were rude and need lessons with how to deal with customers. Do not go here. We will never go back.Corn maze that is several miles away is a different story. Enjoyable (though pricey) and every staff member was sweet and helpful. But you can find many better alternatives for apple picking or farm products only a few miles away.
Love this place. Fresh produce and home baked pies and donuts. Can't wait till fall when they add caramel apples and we can have maze fun. Plenty to do for all ages. The younger crowd especially like the Miner Max activity. Have fun!!
Stony Hill has both pick your own and ready pick produce selections. It is not as busy as Alstede Farms. The produce is very fresh.
We had a horrible experience at Stony HIll corn maze. Unpleasant extremely rude unhelpful employees. We went apple picking at Stony Hill Gardens $2 a pound $20 pies and afterwards corn maze $13 pp plus $1.5 more for 3D glasses which is a must in order to read the maze map otherwise you are stuck walking in circles for hours. Something they didn't explain in the beginning. After 2 hours and no one around for help we ran into a rude worker (appeared to be teen) as we struggled to get his attention while he horsed around with his friends my kid was hurt. I asked for a supervisor so he called security whispered something to the person and then we were asked to leave. My child was manhandled and after complaining to another staff member they didn't seem to care and refused a refund. Sadly I got the impression they are racist. We left disgusted and it ruined our kids day. Avoid stony hill corn maze in Chester NJ
Produce is the highest quality I've found in this area. Reasonably priced and takes credit cards to boot.
Came to Stony Hill today with my girl for some fall activities and glad we did. We researched the area, and felt this was the best spot for us and we were right. When we got there, I looked for an ATM assuming we would need cash for the maze-nope, they accept cards which is great. Entered the maze with confidence; left disgruntled. We attempted to complete the maze without any maps or assistance. Side note-we don't have any kids, but if we did this is a supreme spot to spend the day with a family. It took us 2 hours to complete, and we had a great time even though we made numerous wrong turns. After the maze, we shopped in their country store. The pies are overpriced in my opinion. The hot cider was legit, as was the hot chocolate. We left w apple butter syrup, lentil soup mix, sugar cookie mix, pumpkin muffin mix and a raspberry chipotle bbq marinade. After shopping, we picked our own pumpkins and called it a day. There was one employee that stood out-Joan, who asked us if we enjoyed ourselves and pointed out that there was a night maze event. I'll definitely be coming back next year, this time with a group!
The place is a little pricey, but you should expect that with 75 employees walking around. I had a picture of the maze and counted every left and every right along the way. I knew exactly where I was the entire way through. I had my children convinced that we were lost and was having a little fun with them when about 50 yards from the finish, one of the employees shouts, "you're finished people, the end is right there....." I said, "hey buddy, I paid the $70, not you." He had no idea what I meant, but just like everything else in this world today, someone is ready to ruin everything for you. Stay out of the way until your called upon. That kid was a killjoy...
