Beautiful carousel. Cost was $2 each. It was not crowded, it had a small reasonably priced gift shop. The animals were beautifully painted and fun. In the same park as The Butterfly House and there is a children's play area as well. Doesn't take much time, about 30 minutes, if you are from out of town, plan to do it the same day as the Butterfly House.
Close to interstate nice place to visit. Nice playground for kid, carousel is very cool and things change. Also some historical things and nice place for pictures or hiking.
We had a birthday party here and it was great. Nice to be able to bring in your own food, face painter, crafts, etc and let the kids run around and do what they want. You do need to be out at the end of your time though - they'll charge you for going over.
It is what it is. You can ride the same thing at six flags and the zoo. Only difference is it is free at the above places and cost &2.00 each here.
It's pretty simple. Everyone should go. There's nothing like a carousel ride. It's worth every minute.
We stopped to see the carousel, but the kids wanted to go to the amazing playground. We had done the butterfly house already for the second time, so the park was it. It was nice, clean and well maintained.
This is an added bonus to the Butterfly House next door. Both were an excellent choice to take the grandchildren.
The carousel at Faust Park is a must if you are in the area. It is an authentic carousel and can't help but put a smile on any ones face, no matter the age!
This is a St Louis County park located in West St Louis County near the intersection of highway 64 (40 to locals) and Olive Blvd. There are multiple activities available, including a playground, an historic village with constant additions and updates, a building containing a carousal, the restored home of Missouri’s second Governor and a segment of the Missouri Botanical Garden – the Butterfly House. The park also hosts events throughout the year including outdoor concerts. There is an admission charge only for the Butterfly House (free to Garden members) and to ride the carousal. This is a very interesting place for a quiet walk with your dog or to let the kids blow off some energy on the playground. Parking is free – well worth a visit.
Housed in an air-conditioned building located in a great park, the Carousel is a nice refresher during the hot summer. Prices are reasonable-$2.00 for a long ride. Clean, with beautifully painted horses, our kids wanted to ride forever. Never crowded.
