Excellent fast track with enough room for passing & great racing. Good viewing for spectators. Nothing more needs to be said.
Great racing on a great track, we were there 3 nights and the final nights feature was a dustbowl so that was disapointing, stands were cramped in, need to make a tad more room for people, they threw out our drinks weren't allowed to take anything in other than water, thought that was poor, food was ordinary not many options ok for one night but when you are there 3 nights its ordinary, carpark took ages to get out of but all of them do on busy nights. They are organised though, races went quick, they get through the night well, no mucking around, local crowd go crazy they love their local drivers. We came from Australia for a WOO show so it was good to see the passion.
Our first time actually racing at Silverdollar. Had a great time. Track good, people great. Thanks Silverdollar.

Having a background in racing, I might be prejudiced, but this speedway puts on a great show for dirt track followers. The Gold Cup races every September with the 410 outlaw sprint cars are rated as one of the top 3 races in the country for this type of car racing. Kept clean and family oriented it is a fun way to spend a weekend evening in the summer.
Gold Cup Fever in September, Hot ! Don't go to speedway before 5pm. Try to get seats with your back to the sun. Take a cushion. Heaps of eateries and drinks stands. Heaps of Fan memorabilia for sale. Great little race track...take sunnies or eye protection...very dusty
I have been to this track about 1000 times over my life in Chico and never once have I been disappointed. I have seen everything from sprints to monster trucks to bicycles here. I have memories of racing my BMX around the dirt oval when I was a kid. If you like racing you will be glad you went. I always sit on turn in the small grandstands (exit corner) if I don't have a pit pass. Bring sunglasses as it can get dusty.
Visited Silverdollar speedway for the USA Gold Cup for Sprintcars, and also Midget racing. Awesome track, quite different to what we have here in New Zealand, they have a great set-up outside of the track too. Heaps of area to buy merchandise, food and competitions etc. Everyone had the opportunity to down to the pits and meet the drivers after the racing, plus there was also entertainment put on after the racing in an entertainment venue attached to the Speedway. Great numbers of cars, and you have allocatedd seating, so you can have the same seat all season if you buy a season ticket, covered grandstands and open air stands.
It is a very fast tight banked clay track. The World of Outlaws racers make it to Chico to race on it and the local boys put on a pretty good show every week.
Wonderful way to spend a summer Friday evening watching all kinds of racing with great crowds. Easy to relax and enjoy the show these talented drivers give each week. Gets a bit dirty with the dirt flying as the drivers speed around the track but it washes off!
