The Nut House was a nice stop to get out and stretch our legs. Inside there is a deli, a fudge counter, and many cupboards filled with different types of nuts, and candies. The fudge was very good, and the nuts that we bought were ok. My husband really liked them, but they tasted burnt to me. We also bought some jelly, which was very good.It was more of a boutique, and we really aren't into little trinkets and dust collectors. But it's a cute little shop, that if you have the time, try it out and enjoy some fudge :)
The Nut House was on our list of Rt. 66 places to visit. It was closed when we arrived so we thought we would have to miss it this trip. One of the people working there was outside setting up for the day and invited us in to shop. The staff is very nice. The Nut House is very clean inside and out. We did a bit of sampling which made it even harder to decide what to purchase. We really enjoyed our visit! Loved the pecans, so had to buy a few bags..that is what I was looking for when we headed there. The fudge was fresh and we purchased a few kinds. There is a great assortment off things to purchase from foods, beverages, décor......... Something for everyone! Have fun!
So Glad we stopped here. We were warmly welcomed. We were given a taste of their homemade fudge & homemade candies. Lots of cute gift items, lots of chocolate, lots of nut products. We really enjoyed visiting the Nut House, and look forward to visiting it again!
The Nut House is a nice place to stop and buy some nuts....It has many other things also. They have fudge and candies, jams and jellies and many other things.
I can never pass up the dark chocolate covered pecans. Their fudge is wonderful too. You can get a sandwich, gifts, all KINDS of quality nuts and snacks. A fun place to stop and friendly people.
We stopped here on our Route 66 sightseeing trips and I am so glad we did. It was a little difficult to get to as there was construction going on in front of the entrance so we had to drive a good distance around to get there. It was worth it though. The selection of nuts, coffee and fudge was great. The staff was friendly and we got to sample the fudge and then decide what we wanted to buy. There is also a good size area of gifts and other things for purchase. There is also a deli for sandwiches and snacks. It was a cute place and worth stopping by for something sweet.
Being a diabetic was so happy to find they has a sugar free fudge that was soooooooo delicious. My husband loved the chocolate pecan fudge. Place had such a variety of items it would have been so easy to go overboard. There was a great variety of nuts to be had there as well as jams, jellies and preserves. Worth the stop.
Cute rustic stop on Route 66. And Hot Mama is the sweetest hostess. Wonderful BYOS (Build your own sandwich), soups, sides and sweets at the deli. Eclectic assortment of OK gifts, home decor, special blend coffees, teas, and of course, nuts. A free taste of fudge just for stopping in. Lots of goodies to sample and taste through out the store. Just a delightful place to visit.
We stopped of for a quick drink and to use the rest rooms - but bought some souvenirs- and a huge amount of quality fudge and some lime soda for the journey - great place and location with some very unusual sweets - candy - chocolate - nuts etc etc - what great people - very polite and helpful - and we met some very nice customers also who made us feel very welcome in USA.
Stopped here on my drive down Route 66 the other day. I had been meaning to stop for a long while now, and finally got the chance. It is pretty much your standard affair of fudge, nuts, candies, and trinkets. I was surprised to see they also had a deli too. Free tastes of the fudge are offered by the friendly faces who run the store. I will definitely stop by again for more of the Red Velvet fudge, that was seriously amazing! Worth stopping in if you are in the area.
