As a family we spent an enjoyable day at the park. We had a Birthday picnic, at the picnic area. My grandchildren enjoyed the rides and the lake. A lovely place to be. If it's a quite or lively time you can find it here.
Park was really busy, had my daughter and my three grandchildren. Lovely swing park, nice walks and grassy areas only thing I would say was missing was competition for the ice cream van and the small roundabout they had. £1.50 a go, felt that was a bit steep. Otherwise a really nice day out.
My family and I love to walk around the lake before taking kids to the park, always a nice time and our daughter loves to feed the ducks. Always plenty of parking
We have been going here for years. Nice park. Cafe and interesting information and history inside. Lovely to picnic on a summers day
Unfortunately there is no parking for buses! We had2 get dropped off with all our stuff while the bus headed off 2find smewhere 2park? Lots of car parking with parking on grass if necessary. The toilets were very hot but could b a little cleaner. Kids play area is fab with various equip for all ages, another smaller 1 is part way round the loch. Lock walk is lovely & there's a lovely garden area. Sme people were fishing at the side of loch if u fancy it? Cafe prices reasonable & had ceiling fans 2help cool it down. Grt place 2go for free if weather good.
Lovely little park for a walk, can either walk around the loch which has a lot of wildlife on it and or combine it with a walk through the woods to the rear where if you are lucky enough you may see the deer. Can easily spend a couple of hours here. The park has a great play area for the kids and a cafe/restaurant, there is also ample parking spaces. Can get busy in the good weather.
Apart from the obvious attraction of the park and the surrounding woodlands, this place Country Park is beautiful. After a nice long walk round the woods, its lovely to sit back and enjoy the cafe. The staff are lovely and helpful. It offers a wide selection of teas, coffees and eats. My niece and nephew call this the "Chip Park" as they usually go for chips and a drink. All this after playing on the monkey puzzle, the sandpit and the climbing frame. Bliss to tired aunties everywhere!!! I love this place.
We go here a lot with the kids.their aged 2,5 and 6 Theirs 2 play parks here for them to play in and is very safe,in the summer months their usually a bouncy castle which is a small fee.Nice park for dog walking and theirs a few nature trails, wheelchair users can go around the main loch as path is flat, but not sure about nature trails. Theirs a cafe at the main entrance and all the information you need, maps, toilets etc.You can fish in the main loch which is run bye drumpellier angling club who have a website for info and permits.Park gets very busy in summer months.
Went there for the afternoon with family and dog. There is a good walk around the pond which is manageable for the kids with additional walking trails well marked for the more adventurous, busy at weekends due to dog walkers and there is a good cafe at the end of your walk. The food choice is ok and not pricey.
Drumpellier Country Park is a great day out for the family. If the weather is on your side, it would be the perfect spot for a picnic. Lovely, well maintained park and great play area for the children. Considering that it is within a very lively town, it is a little great little haven.
