Well worth a drop in. Ride or walk. Picnic good too. Plenty of shade . Most gardener a would love it. We liked the huge variety
Stopped enroute to Port Fairy- had an absolutely great time walking around the beautiful gardens. Ended staying there for over an hour taking great pics!
Lovely gardens - great for kids. Well worth a visit or a stop if passing through. Good parking. There is a cafe but it wasn't open
Pretty gardens on the banks of the lake. Alive with locals doing activities, (exercising, young mum's picnics, dog walking). there is a pleasant made path along the lake foreshore, ideal for bikes and walking.
We didn't plan on stopping but were very glad we did. We thoroughly enjoyed a play on a great variety of equipment and in a lovely location. There are toilets nearby to the playground which is always handy.Overlooks the Colac lake, very pretty. Gates close around 4pm into the Botanical Gardens but the playground area is still open after that so you can enjoy dinner there also if the weather permits.
Great pit stop, get coffee and bite to eat and sit under the shade of the trees. Pretty oasis for a stop off.
After visiting many botanical gardens in Victoria this was my favorite! Lovely colours in all the plants and trees
Wow, these gardens are obviously well loved and cared for. It was such a peaceful stroll along the paths. I passed a few other people but they were all (including the cyclists) quiet and friendly. Absolutely loved walking through here and reading all the information about the plants / trees. Walking alone in the late afternoon caused no concern. Congratulations Colac!
These gardens are very well located beside Lake Colac and are well designed to provide a delightful experience for those who appreciate gardens and the relaxation they can bring. A great asset to the very pleasant town of Colac.
Great little spot for light lunch or coffee. Staff are terrific and the food is good and good value. Love the 'lentil as anything' wrap. Don't expect fancy just good wholesome food with a smile.
