I've never heard of Arizona wine but, apparently, this winery is at the same latitude as many California wineries making it optimum for a few varieties of grapes. The grapes go from vine to bottle, all in this location. Tastings were $2 or $3, depending on the vintage. Wines were ok. Nothing spectacular to me. The tasting room was ok. Nothing special.
More great wines and great service. We didn't try any of the snacks but their menu was very inviting. Next time. More wine purchased here, too.
We stopped not only because we love wine, but the name of the winery had us curious. Yes, you will be greeted by a stuffed Javelina hanging on the wall in the tasting room! Wine tasting was reasonably priced at 4 samples for $8. We stuck with the red grouping and all were very delicious and any one of them would have been a nice treat out in the vineyard picnic area or in the restaurant, however we were too close to closing time. Definitely give this a try if in the area.
Normally I can excuse bad service, but it's a winery and when you're basically ignored, that's a problem. Maybe it was because we had a (silent) baby with us, maybe it was because we didn't order food, maybe because my husband was the DD and didn't drink, but it took forever just to get through a tasting the the wines were not explained at all just poured. Too bad, because the name is cute and the wines were pretty good, but we won't ever be back.
We stopped by this winery as part of a day of wine-tasting. We enjoyed the wines, and chatting with the owner who happened to be relaxing at the tasting bar as well. Small shop of fun souvenirs and and gifts. Knowledgeable staff pouring the wine. We would certainly visit again next time we are in the area.
Good red Arizona wine, one especially which is the estate Zinfandel. They have a backyard to enjoy some wine & pizza or other tapa. Very nice stop
Went as part of a larger group, we had a tasting of 5 different wines, led by the winemaker herself. She explained how she made each wine, what she was looking for in the wine, etc. This was followed by a tour of the wine making operation, but with a lot of detail on how the winemaker chooses the strain of yeasts she wishes to use, how they monitor the wines progress as it's created, how and why she chooses certain types of wood for her oak barrels, etc. If you can get an opportunity to attend an event like I did, by all means do so. You will learn a lot. This was all followed by a luncheon served in their Arizona Room, with food created and prepared by their executive chef. We had grilled chicken breasts and grilled burgers, with all the accompaniments, and everything was delicious. The wine flowed all during the meal, and everyone I talked to said they had a great time, great wine, and great food.
Picturesque and a perfect pour! Looking for a romantic wine tasting or a fun excursion for wine enthusiasts? This is quite a delight. Included in the tasting is a flavorful spread of appetizers and perhaps best of all is the brief tour. The owners themselves showcase their passion & pride in the award winning wines they have produced in a relatively small space. If is inspiring!

The grapes go from vine to bottle all in this location. Tastings were $2 or $3 depending on the vintage. Wines were ok but wouldn't bother buying any, especially at around $20 bottle. Small, interesting place with gravel parking lot.
The small tasting room is well designed and very nicely decorated. My husband and I did each did a tasting and we were a bit overwhelmed by the wines. We have drunk our fair share of wine over the years and we both felt that these wines were designed for a very specific consumer...one that likes strong, bold wines. One of the red wines actually reminded me a bit of Robitussin cough syrup as the cherry flavor was very strong and a bit medicine-y.
