Kim was great! Had 6 adults with one handicapped. She was able to accommodate all our needs. Knows the wildlife and area very well. We went on a 2 hour ride and wished we would have taken a longer one. This is the best way to see, feel, and learn about the local wildlife. To take pictures of dolphin at 9:30 am is awsome. Kim would get in the water to pickup shells, starfish, shrimp, and sand dollars. Don't miss this trip. We will be going again next year!
I purchased this as a gift for my family who have a place on the Island. I cannot say enough positive things. The weather turned cold when we were supposed to go and Kim made every effort to rebook us on a warmer day. The family was warmly greeted by Capt. Michael and the cooler was stocked with the families favourite drinks. Michael provided great commentary throughout the two hour tour, the family collected some shells from Sandbars and learned so much about the area. I highly recommend this company and have made the recommendation to everyone we meet. We will be back!
Kim was knowledgeable, friendly, and you can tell she loves giving the tours. We stopped on a sandbar and were given time to collect shells. While on sandbar she assisted us with collecting and would explain a little about each item found. She also went over an hour and only charged for an hour. We will definitely do a tour with her again! Best money spent so far!
My friend and I took the hands on ecology tour. It was very interesting. She went out of her way to make sure we had a good experience. We saw a small shark, dolphins, starfish and many other small creatures. She is not in this business just to make money. She cares. I would take one of her charters again.
Absolutely the best! Booked our adventure and waited excitedly at the dock to meet Captain Kim. However we met Captain Michael, Captain Kim's FABULOUS son! A very knowledgeable young man who made it a wonderful experience for my two small grands, ages 3 and 6. They loved being able to hold all the little sea critters and picking up the shells on the sand bar. This adventure was an 11 on a scale of 1-10. I am returning in Sept. for a girls weekend and hope to book another adventure while visiting! We are HOOKED!
I came upon this tour while with another group. Captain Kim had her group were out on the sandbar collecting their "limit" of two live sand dollars. Not only is this horrible for maintenance of the natural environment that we are all here to enjoy on our vacations, it is against the law. According to Florida's administrative code which disallows possession of any live shell in the state, people taking these living shells could face up to 60 days in jail and a $500 fine.If you choose to be a professional in this arena, you should be just that. Do not steer your customers to do something that is ethically wrong.
We took the ecology tour. It was great. Very interesting and informative. She got in the water and seined then showed us what she gathered. We really enjoyed it
My husband and I went out yesterday with Kim and it was so awesome! We went to sandbars and seen some Dolphins! We recommend her highly!!! It was a great time! Would go again in a heart beat! Than you Captain Kim for a great experience!
We booked our charter with the sole purpose of having a dolphin tour. We also booked thinking we were getting captain Kim and nothing was mentioned otherwise during our booking. When we arrived at our scheduled time, we were told we were going on a boat with another captain. This captain took really no interest in us at all, did not ask us any questions about ourselves and kept wanting to tell us about good restaurants to go to. We were not impressed. We also did not see a single dolphin on our trip which was a huge disappointment. Fortunately, the captain did let our kids do some eco-tour exploring and they were able to see some crabs and starfish. Over all, we did not get out of this experience, anything close to what we were hoping for. It was not worth the money we spent. Maybe we just got plain bad luck with the dolphin thing but we weren't feeling confident that they were even taking us to places where there would be dolphins.
Me and my two young kids took Captain Kim's little critter tour and we all loved it. My kids loved getting to hold starfish and seahorses and see all the other little critters she found for them. We also saw some dolphins playing and lots of beautiful birds. She answered all my 7 year old's questions about the wildlife. Overall, very happy I booked this little adventure.
