Nice wine tasting room in downtown Cottonwood. You could choose a white or red tasting menu or a combination. We tried the reds and enjoyed most of them. We were with a large group and they didn't take the time with us that some of the other wineries we visited that day. Would go back and try it when we are in the area on our own.
We enjoyed our wine-tasting at this Old Town Cottonwood tasting room. We love the glass that we were able to bring home as well. Some great Arizona wines here. We would certainly visit again next time we are in the area.
If you are in the Cottonwood/Sedona area you should stop by Old Town Cottonwood for some great food and wine tasting. My favorite is the Pillsbury wine tasting room. Warm, inviting and a great place to enjoy a wine experience. All the wines are from Arizona grapes and you will be impressed by the wonderful selection and great reds and whites. In addition, the staff is very informative and make you feel like old friends as they guide you through the wine selections. Whenever I'm in the area I make sure that i make a stop at Pillsbury.
Heard lots of good things about this winery and their wines and over all the wine was pretty good but nothing spectacular for me. Wasn't too enthused about the tasting process The pourer refilled our glasses before they were empty of the previous wine. Also thought the tasting cost was a little steep compared to napa Sonoma wineries where we live. Wine tasting is supposed to be a pleasant experience. This wasn't
Amazing. Fantastic customer service. After selecting a wine flight, they selected chocolates to match each tasting. All of the wines we tried were fabulous and the chocolates they'd selected for us complimented each wine perfectly. Great atmosphere and very welcoming, friendly and helpful staff.
We visited on New Year's Eve 2013, a visit prompted by a tasting voucher gifted us from the Cottonwood Hotel. The counter setup is very good but there needs to be more than one person serving the guests. We felt the attention and experience we received was subpar and suspected the server didn't want to put the attention into people who come in on vouchers. People at the counter next to us actually got a good background of their tastings so we did our best to eavesdrop. This is too bad because we are wine loving and wine buying people. There was a wall board advertising chocolate truffles with wine which looked good but I had to ask the server to sell ME. We did end up buying a bottle of the $38. Petite Sirah and should have also bought the very delicious 2010 Roan Red at $28.If the customer service was better then this is a spot we'd see as a good choice to bring personal guests during day trips. It has good enough wine to offer really nice experiences, potentially.
Very comfortable, oversized tastingRoom. Noah was a great & helpful pourer. The AZ wines were suprisingly good, liked the Viognier, wild child Red & White, red roan sirah blend & Petite Sirah. The establishment is located on Cottonwood's historic Main St. Shops all around. Reminds you of the town in the Andy Griffith's sitcom Mayberry. Charming place Cottonwood. Don't miss it.
This has some of the finest wine in the state. Don't laugh, wine making a growing by leaps and bounds here. Pillsbury's Chardonnay was excellent. All of the wines I tasted were very good. The tasting room is in the old part of Cottonwood, which is quite charming.
The Pillsbury Tasting Room is a fun, funky place to enjoy several selections of fine Arizona wine. Justine and her entire staff are very knowledgeable and will explain the subtleties of each variety of this award-winning wine. We happened in on a Friday night when they extend their hours until 9:00 ( or later!), and we were delighted by the festive atmosphere of an old-fashioned piano bar, highlighted by Noah, the piano player. Cheese plates and chocolate tastings are on the menu, too!
We are wine club members, so we tend to stop in to pick up allottments and to enjoy a class or two in this nice downtown Cottonwood tasting room. The staff is usually quite nice and engaging. Always some sort of music on their soundsystem - and at times live artists. Try a wine flight - you should like Sam's work.
