Brought several friends together including out of town guest. Check in was efficient and we went into game play very quickly. Dads and sons alike had a blast. The arena is a little small, but keeps the action going. Staff is friendly and professional.
It's a bit expensive there, but then again its the nicest range I've ever been to. Been there 3 times and enjoyed it every time. Also their store has a pretty good selection, it was the only place I could fine a particular model magazine that I had been looking to get for a while.
My first experience shooting at a gun range was a positive one due in part to the friendly and helpful people working at Over Range. As a first timer I needed some extra instruction and encouragement and both were extended to me eagerly. My son and I had a great day together and I learned I'm a pretty good shot!!
With two separate gun ranges (one for rifles and the other for pistols and AR's), as well as an indoor paint ball course, this gun range is top notch! You can rent guns to shoot on the range or bring your own. My wife and I took their carry conceal course and their instructors are very knowledgeable and great teachers.
Not a bad place just exspensive. Well kept and nice shooting lanes. So overall a really good place dinged a few stars just because the place is very pricey. But if you can afford the gun and the ammo it is a fine place to sight in the gun.
It's obvious that the owners at Open Range put a lot of thought and care into not only the design of this range, but the maintenance and operation of it as well. I've seen it grow quite a bit since it opened and it's our favorite range ever. We've seen a lot of indoor ranges, and this is the best by far. The ventilation system is top notch and it's all run very professionally. Make a reservation if you want a lane -- it can get busy.
I hadn't fired a weapon in 25 years, so this was a spur of the moment family novice outing. Marksmanship is still fun. Guns are powerful. Shooting at stuff is a rush. So the folks here were very friendly and professional, and the facilities are clean and functional. I'd go back.
Open Range has a nice indoor pistol and rifle range. It can get pretty busy so be prepared to wait a few minutes for a space on the line. The staff is friendly and helpful and always present on the firing line.
Poor customer service on top of fact they won't let you shoot unless they can can steal your brass and charge you a dollar a ound for their reloads.
My husband suggested we go to Open Range when he wanted to teach me to shoot a gun for self defense. I must admit I was not initially excited about going. They have a date night special on Fridays and so we went. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Nice indoor shooting range. Very safe and well maintained. Very high class of folks there - ran into several people we know. There was a bit of a wait, but not bad. There is a store at the front where you can purchase firearms, so we browsed while we waited. If you want to learn to shoot, this is a great option for East End Louisville and/or indoor range.
