We had a thoroughly pleasant, if not exceptional, filling and quite fairly priced meal served by an attentive waitress. I'd certainly go back as it beats driving for miles looking for another place. Add to that the enormous on-site store (worth the trip) that far surpasses the little clip-joint at Garryowen and you will enjoy your stop here!
This trading post and cafe are located right across the street from the Little Bighorn Battlefield Monument. Don't miss stopping in for an Indian Taco or some Cowboy soup. After filling your belly with fine food, wander into the Trading Post and pick up some souvenirs for your friends, family and grab something for yourself.
More of a tourist attraction then anything else. One must not go by the visual sense but by what you feel...what is that feeling/emotion that you come away with.
Take the time to stop in fir a quick bite and have an Indian taco! They are amazing and for a very reasonable price. They offer a decent kid menu and ice cream bars/drumsticks for dessert. Fast service with a smile!
When you first walk in it seems like your typical tourist shop with T-shirts and such. If that's what you're looking for this is the place. But if you turn right and go into the room farther back you'll find where all the good stuff is. That room has lots of the best Native American art and craft work, primarily plains Indians of course. The prices reflect the quality but if you're looking for collector quality items, this is where to look.
After a disappointing visit to Little Big Horn was impressed by the service and variety of this beautiful Trading Post. I would visit here again when I am in the area.
We stopped here during our visit to the Little Bighorn National Battlefield. My wife and I both had the Indian Taco. The fried flat bread was very interesting, be sure to tear off a piece or three and try it with the honey. The toppings were generous and well seasoned. Our waitress was very attentive and refilled our drinks when needed. The facility was clean and in good repair. The gift shop/trading post was a welcome respite during a day of travel.
Stopped in after visiting Little Big Horn . Had a great lunch at the cafe. I have tried Indian Tacos in several places but without a doubt this is the best fry bread anywhere. The wait staff could not have been nicer and very attentive. Even the owner took the time to tell us some very interesting and informative history . We will be back there next year when out this way. Well worth the time to stop in. The products in the store were amazing and very reasonable. So many things I would love to have brought home . If you visit Little Big Horn you don't want to miss this place. Headed back to SC but I must say "Putts" was great to listen to and the store has everything.
This is one of the few stops near the battlefield. We were going on to other places after the battlefield, and stopped here for refreshments before heading out. This place is nicely decorated on the outside and has a very large collection of gifts inside. The side room on the right almost looks like a museum! They had truly beautiful Native American jewelry, artwork, and other assorted items like Pendleton goods, sweatshirts, trinkets and hats and t-shirts. Prices were average, but selection was wide and varied. I did not try the food here, but would definitely come again and do so (and probably buy more souvenirs).
Well..we're glad we did see this, but probably wouldn't bother again. Very courteous sales staff in store, food average in restaurant.
