We lucked out and visited at very end of day on a weekday so again, undivided attention. Enjoyed the wines but the purchase we made was actually a Petite Verdot we didnt even get to taste as a gift for the hubs brother (our host) as a thank you. He was excited when presented with it! Grounds are lovely, staff professional and friendly.
Friendly knowledgeable servers. Good prices for high quality Virginia wines. The tasting room is a fun place to taste and enjoy the wines and to spend some time relaxing.
They have lots of room to sit and enjoy your wine -- both indoors and outside. The grounds are quite large so you'll have plenty of space to walk around on a lovely day. Your tasting includes 6 wines, all very good. I would recommend this winery as part of your Charlottesville winery trip!
We really enjoyed the fireplace on the chilly day we visited. The server was knowledgeable with many pairing recommendations. Beautiful grounds which include a polo field. We plan on coming back over the summer to catch a match.
We went as part of our stay at Arcady B&B and enjoyed it. I have been several times and it seems that Kim us always pouring for us. She is awesome and really helps you understand the wines! I always get some Seven- love a port and this doesn't disappoint. Even in the rain the venue is beautiful, the wines are great the people are wonderful. Thanks, James and Kim, for making my weekend special. Always walk out with a bottle or two and today I got myself a shirt to show off my love of the King Family and their wines.
We were there for a family wedding in February. What a fabulous spot. The grounds and facilities were gorgeous. The wine was great and the food was delicious.
King Family Vineyards is a wonderful, kid friendly place. Great wine, great views, and great people!
This was a recommendation from a friend and we found it to be a very personable venue. The wines were quite nice but not exceptional. The venue sports a polo field and this is a great bonus if visiting when matches are held. The scenery is beautiful, the people friendly and wines very good for the region.
I went with friends for v a wine tasting. The setting is classic central Virginia farm country. It is well signed and easy to get to. The tasting room can accomodate groups of many sizes. The staff is knowledgeable, but not pushy. The wines, red and white are smooth.
