Loved this old casino, I haven't heard it was haunted but I felt like i was being watched by a ghost. Could see him out of corner of my eye, but when I turned around no one was there. Never have I felt that before. This casino is worth stopping in and its beautiful.
I don't know what I did in a previous life, but it must have been bad. We arrived a little early, and they wouldn't even check to see if a room might be ready, "come back at 3." we were given a room downstairs, outside, where we walked down a narrow cement hallway. There wasn't a single window in what I can only describe as a box in a dungeon. My first reaction was, "oh hell no!". We walked (no elevator, or help with the bags), back upstairs and talked to the manager, Marius, who had already bad-vibed us when we got there. He begrudgingly changed our room to one with a window, a slightly bigger box. If you really want a slightly better than a motel6, where they won't light up the hallway for you, this is the place for you.
I love this place and everything about it. It has a great vibe the staff is very friendly and the live music is amazing here. I have been there 3 different times and every time I had the pleasure of listening to great blues and rock and roll. Great bar scene and fun gambling.
Nice music venue in Crystal Bay. The show we went to was sold out, and the crowd was front to back. No seating for bigger shows, but there are booths available on other nights. Many nights the music is free and bands are pretty good. After the show we went to see there was another band starting in the lounge as soon as the headliner ended. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff.
When I want to see live music on the North Shore, this is pretty much the only option. There are some great bands who come through here, and there is often free ones in the Red Room.
The Crystal Bay Club books a LOT of very good live music, often free and always very reasonable. The casino is a little tattered around the edges, but it's more than worth it for the music. The Crown Room, the main music venue, is smoke free. Usually a very mixed crowd.
. Excellent show. The security guards were very efficient. A gentleman became ill during the show & they were right on top of things. All of the staff we encountered were very cordial.
If you are in North Tahoe and want a fun night out, go to a concert at CBC, as the locals call it. This is my favorite venue for live music and dancing. They do have great names coming through our little town. It is Tahoe's version of Sweetwater Saloon in Mill Valley if you are a bay area person. The sound system in the Crown Room is magnificent. In the old days this room was a bowling alley where the Rat Pack played. They also have a smaller bar area with live music for after parties. I have seen a lot of great bands in there also. This is a casino so on the breaks you can gamble a bit.
I LOVE GAMBLING HERE! The waitresses are very nice!! You can go to the cafe and get delicious food. You csn also stay safely all night long if you want!! I always win money when I go here for fun!!!
This North Shore Tahoe Casino has great blues every weekend with national acts in an intimate environment.
