The coastline in this area is fabulous. Beaches are clean. There are many dolphins in the area, and a visit to nearby Sandend beach is a must. A beautiful little bay.
We visited here a couple of weeks ago and as with most Scottish beaches this one didn't disappoint. The weather we had was amazing which obviously helped. The beach is large enough that you can get an area to yourself and the sand is fantastic.
Beautiful unspoilt beach. Very clean public toilets nearby. There's a lovely walk from Portknockie and the Bow Fiddle Rock along the coast to this beach, then back along the old railway line. You can divert through Cullen town for a good coffee at the Rockpool Cafe. All very lovely. Watch out for the jellyfish if paddling or swimming though.
Cullen Beach is one of the best beaches in Scotland , Great for families and dog walkers. Large free car park near by. Food and drink available near by at the Golf Club.
Paddle when the waves are low, get wet when the waves crash! A beautiful beach, with a lovely picturesque harbour at the west end, and absolutely safe child friendly area within the harbour. I'm biased, because I grew up here, but I still love it to bits. Please visit.
We like beaches, especially one as pleasant as this one. Nice nad clean withgood views towards Portnockie.
A Wonderful long stretch of clean sandy beach - ideal for kids and walkers alike. Can walk across beach from Cullen to Portknockie which is the next village.
A walk on Cullen Beach is a delight. The sand is clean, it can sing under your feet, The water in the shallows can be warm and the whole beach is a delight to walk. Most people walk to the end and back but you can explore the cliff path further on. Its a beach for lovers, for families, for the dog the first game of catch or foorball or the babys first steps. The toddlers first race into the water and even faster race out. The loss of balance and bottom in the sea. its a beach to make you happy a beach where troubles dont exist. On a day when the breakers are coming in you may watch the surfers. On a calm day you may see the dolphins. Talk to a fisherman. You might be lucky on a Thursday night or Sunday mornig to watch the big lifeboat from Buckie racing by or even ther Air Sea rescue hekicopter practising. Its a great beach.
Went for a long walk on Cullen beach and despite the poor weather it was still a great feeling....unspoilt, clean, peaceful and breathtaking.Great scenery at different parts of the beach with the three kings rock formation at the start right over to the Portknockie end of the beach. We managed to see some dolphins out in the bay just off the mouth of the Cullen Burn.So don't drive past the next time you go through Cullen. Stop and spend a relaxing 30 minutes or a couple of hours (if you have the time) to stroll on the beach.
Lovely beach when the weather is good, the three kings and neighbouring Portessie and Findochty. Keith show us always a good weekend too.
