Cut Bank might be on the smaller side, but the Glacier County Historical Museum has a lot to offer visitors. It sits a little ways out of town, east of Cut Bank. They have a 1917 school house, a 1930s oil workers house, and a homesteaders house that is complete with a garden and working chicken coop. We found the staff to be very knowledgeable on the history of Glacier County. For the Lewis and Clark fans out there, they have a wonderful Lewis and Clark: Marias Expedition exhibit. For the train lovers, they have a very nice 1982 Burlington Northern Caboose. They have numerous other very nice exhibits on display as well. My family found this to be a very interesting place to visit on our stops to the Cut Bank area. I highly recommend stopping in and checking this out if you happen to be in Cut Bank.
I stopped in when traveling from point A to Point B this summer, I really didn't expect much nut I was presently surprised with the experience. Bottom line if you're in the area, it's worth the stop.
