Always fun to head down and watch a concert at this unique outdoor venue. Lawn seating is first come, first serve so arrive early to stake your claim!
The concert atmosphere here has changed alot over the years at this staple for Summer Concert attractions. What hasn't changed is enjoying your artist on the lawn or under the pavilion. The lawn is "managed" more now and you can rent a beach chair too. The introduction of local Food Trucks to the limited dining is a great idea, 4 more would be better. No food or beverage sold inside is cheap, so plan accordingly. But do plan to visit once this summer for a concert or the orchestra.
Blossom Music Center is the perfect place to spend a summer evening. Pick your favorite style of music. One evening it can be a symphony. On another - brass band or rock band. Take a blanket, a picnic with a bottle of wine, and dine on the lawn while you relax. I have been to Blossom several times over the years, and have never been disappointed. My family especially enjoyed the fireworks after the 4th of July band concert.
Blossom and the Cleveland Orchestra have been perfectly paired for nearly fifty years. The August 17th concert was further validation of this belief. Jahja Ling conducted a wonderful concert to an appreciative crowd that knew him from his many years of association with both the orchestra and Blossom. The Dvorak Symphony 6 is a wonderful piece of music and could not have been better conducted or played. The Elgar Cello Concerto with Yo-Yo Ma as soloist is a tour de force and the soloist and orchestra played in perfect harmony. Mr. Ma sat with the cello section for the Dvorak. What a night! Parking was tough for general admission. Subscribers can get reserved lots closer in.
The most crowed I've ever seen it, but the experience was lovely, as usual. A beautiful weather evening with a wonderful man, the Cleveland Orchestra, wine, cheese and grapes - priceless.
I've been coming here for years, and my summer is never complete, until I have been to Blossom at least once. Listening to the Cleveland orchestra on the lawn with a glass of wine and cheese on a nice summer evening - it doesn't get better than this.Other concerts are a total different experience, but loads of fun. The energy is amazing. My only complaint is the traffic getting out - they need a few more exits. I DREAD the traffic. It is a total nightmare.Bathroom facilities are not bad, and typically clean.
We attended the orchestra on Disney night and it was so packed. Parking is really really far away! The venue was nice but too crowded on the lawn. Bathrooms were clean and landscaping pretty. The lawn area is very steep, my crawling baby kept rolling down the hill when he was moving around. We arrived at 5:30 (show started at 7) and the venue wad already full! Guess we should have arrived when they opened at 4:30. With 85 degree temps outside it was kind of miserable.
Wonderful place to hear one of the world's greatest orchestras! Whether you picnic on the lawn or sit in the amphitheater, it wouldn't be summer without a few trips to Blossom!
to sit out under the stars with some good wine and picnic basket on the slopping grass is a relaxing way to listen to the classical music of the Cleveland Symphony in the warn nights of Summer.
I have been going to Blossom Music Center since I was a child. It is still a beautiful place to spend a summer evening listening to great music!
