It could have been great. Loved everything, even got a couple things at the shop. They don't have feeder for us to put coins in to feed the animals which would have been a plus. It says no food inside bc of the animals but yet they sell it inside by the sloth & by the fishes downstairs. I expected there to be Dolphins, see a couple starfish & a whale or something but no... The employees are super nice but not too helpful. There was a point we got lost looking for the Penguins because there aren't enough signs explaining where things are, only that Internet computer is available. & tickets were about $20 per adult. On the optimistic side, it was great experience
I was floored by this aquarium. It's amazing and my husband and I really loved it. Our 2 and 4 year olds enjoyed much of it, and the aquarium does try to create some interest for young kids, but this is simply not worth the price for little kids. My kids were tired halfway through yet the facility isn't very stroller friendly. Lots of ramps, but just crowded (even on a weekday) and strollers end up moving slowly. As a parent, I was even annoyed by other strollers that blocked the path of so many. (DO NOT TAKE STROLLERS!) My favorite part...they sell margaritas that you can drink throughout the aquarium.
It cost $113 (includes parking) for our family of 5 to visit and we were there less than two hours. There were some interesting things at the aquarium but I thought it was an over priced attraction.
I was truly amazed by this total jewel right downtown Dallas that I had NO idea even existed! I can't wait until I can go back and enjoy it again with out it being so overly crowded! It was spring break and the crowd was let's just say overwhelming in almost every way, but I know we will try and plan another trip soon and try and time it at a better time! My grandchildren thoroughly enjoyed it also!
I decided to kill a few hours here while my husband was working. I loved it so much I brought him back here the next day for lunch in the excellent Cafe Maya and several hours of enjoying walking about. To call this an aquarium only is to not do it justice. It is a complete, multi-level "ecosystem" with mammals (including a manatee), birds, insects, reptiles and lovely plants in addition to an extensive array o fishes and marine invertibrates from all over the world. You can feed baby toucans, watch animals at eye-level without bars or barriers and spend time in a giant acrylic tube watching the sharks and rays float overhead. The staff are happy to speak to you about the animals and the printed information on the displays is extensive. Just wonderful.
I had a few hours to spare before my flight out and decided to visit. Great aquarium and beautiful exhibits and animals. It even had a large viewing tank containing a manatee (first for me to see in an aquarium) plus a mini shark tank/tunnel. Had a great time and what a great use of time before leaving Dallas.
我去过许多水族馆,但是这个水族馆真是特别费劲才能找到!超级辛苦!找了很久才找到!而且我发现这里面可看的东西也不多。真是感觉非常有限,不推荐。
Wr all enjoyed it and will return in the future . Such a variety of animals. Enjoying The mayansdance
This is one of the must-do things in Dallas. It's much better than the zoo. I took my almost 1-year-old niece and she loved it. The shark tunnel may have been our favorite part. She also absolutely loved the flamingos.
