Loved the view; amazing from this viewpoint, a must if you go to the Grand Canyon. Clean and traffic moves smoothly
Me and my girlfriend have visited three view points but this one was definitely the best !! When visiting grand canyon you have to stop by on this one !
No words can tell you about such beautiful place. You can set and watch around the changes of the colours with the change of light.Seat and watch and ....
A truly outstanding view! Grandview trail takes off from this point into the Canyon. This trail is not for anyone who is afraid of heights or has balance issues. It is very treacherous in places. For experienced hikers though, it's a maginificent trail into the Canyon, full of wild flowers in the spring. A nice day hike down to Horseshoe Mesa and back, or on to deeper Canyon destinations. The point offers good views in all directions.
The hike on the Grandview Trail, descending from Grandview Point, placed us midway down the canyon with a great view of the river below us, and the canyon walls above on all sides. The Horseshoe Mesa was a great place to camp out. We love learning about the old mines and hotels in the area!
We were lucky to get to the point by sunrise. The view really made me cry because it was sooo beautiful, breathtaking, magnificent. I don't have much to say because when you see it, you find human vocabulary is too limited.
This viewpoint, about half way down Desert View Drive, was one of my favorites. It gave a beautiful vista across the canyon to the North Rim, although its views weren't quite as wide as those at Hopi Point or Desert View, my two favorites.
If you don't have a lot of time in the park I recommend this viewing point, this was the most scenic of all.
You have to drive here as the buses don't go this far. It is our favorite vista. Listen for the rapids from the Colorado River! There are other pull offs on the way to this point which are well worth a few minute stop.
One of the Best view points in the Grand Canyon, only can get here by car, Grandview Point and Desert Watchtower are well worth the stop if you are coming to the Grand Canyon from the East
