Didn't really find anything of interest to me but if you like shopping for t-shirts and tchotchkes and consider grazing burgers or BBQ from one place and ice cream or candy from another to be entertainment, this may be for you. It's hard to believe there are only a couple of restaurants with any view. Most of the outdoor seating has sidewalk or parking lot views and could be anywhere.
pet friendly area. nice atmosphere and people. nice shops. enjoyed an ice cream at the ice cream store
Loved the flowers and the fire pits to cuddle and stay warm by. Loved the many lights and and benches to rest on outside many shops. This is a couple of hours to relax and buy gifts for yourself or others.
A mix of restaurants and eateries, galleries & souvenir shops. Alpine architecture and nice landscaping.
Nice flowers and interesting shops, but only spent 5 minutes looking around. Lady in the Visitor centre was very helpful printing out coupons for us.
We loved walking around all the shops, checking out shops on Village and Pine Knot, as well as being able to see the water from the lake at the end of Pine Knot. We went the day they had their Christmas tree lighting and Santa visit right after Thanksgiving, which made it extra festive. (However, this place needs a lot more public restrooms. Only two stalls were working when we were there in the large public parking lot!) The lights are so pretty. It's a great way to get into the Christmas spirit. We enjoyed the quirky shops and places that featured local artists. YOU MUST visit the photography studios. So awesome. It's fun to visit at different times of day so you can see the shops in the daytime as well as light up at night.
Quaint little Village is the hub of foot traffic, shopping and entertainment in Big Bear Lake. Many small shops to stroll at your leisure. Selection and quality of merchandise however is rather tired and appears old and in need of refreshing. Wide range of restaurants and ethnic flavors.
What a neat place to walk around! They have these cute shops with knickknacks and unique souvenirs. There's no shortage of bear woodcarvings in this area. There's also plenty of restaurants to choose from. Very family and pet friendly!
A definite tourist attraction with lots of trendy restaurants and boutique type shops. However, you can see that the weak economy and the drought are taking their toll from the number of closed and failing locations. Still, we enjoyed wandering through the shops and browsing.
Be sure to stop by the Christmas Adventure and pay a visit to Ashley (the owner) she is amazing and offers great prices.. She has some of the most unique items in her shop..
