Perfect location. Personal service. Serious wine folks, but host did a nice job with our varied group of wine drinkers. Setting is tough to beat.
First visit to Viader and wow what a view and the wine is even better. I would rank their cabernet's among the very finest we have tasted in over 80 winery visits in NAPAN, Sonoma and Healdsburg since 2007. Truly artful wine that is among the best. This winery has the best location for a picnic view you will encounter in NAPA.
We have been in Viader 3 times already, actually club members. The property is beautiful, the view is breathtaking. I loveeeee the place, give you piece, breeze and AMAZING wines. This time we decided to do a picnic, we bought some cheeses, sandwiches and dips and had a nice lunch with this delightful wine. Please don't miss this amazing winery. dont forget to do an appointment.
We wanted to visit Viader after reading about the beautiful view and exceptional vine. On our way to the tasting room, we were very rudely asked to leave with a comment that it's "not a national park." We did not see any signs anywhere (we double-checked) informing that tours are reservation-only, and visitors are not welcome. Thankfully, there are many other choices in Napa Valley and we happily took our business elsewhere.
It feels wrong to write this review cause in all honesty, I want to keep this winery as "best kept secret" kinda thing. Their wine changed my taste buds. Their views and hospitality were unmatched.
A hidden gem in the Napa area. Their wines are very hard to find outside of Napa as they don't produce that much. The area is spectacular. Must make reservation before tasting. We joined their wine club immediately. Get the Viader Vintage and "V." Avoid the "DARE" line - 2nd rate stuff.
Friendly and informative staff. Beautiful location. Beautiful views! Outstanding wines!Need I say more?Make reservations for this one.
While this is a spectacular setting, the bad taste left by the hard sell lingers. This was a beautiful small vineyard, filled with charm, class, and beautiful vistas. And luckily we had our own knowledgeable driver escort us through because the vineyard's host was like a character in a bad movie. He spent his time with us trying to determine how fat our wallet was. When asked gentle questions based on our search for an education, we were summarily dismissed as common. In fact, he suddenly abandoned our table by stating that he had to help "name drop" celebrity. Yawn yawn. Despite this, we did purchase some wine even though we had to endure his renewed attention with an attempt to get us to buy futures. Honestly, an overall very negative experience with this salesman. Fortunately for the vineyard, the wine and the setting spoke for itself.
We came across this vineyard from a referral. I am so glad we went here. It is small and you have to schedule a private wine tasting. It is not open to the masses which is what I loved. You feel like you are on your own patio drinking exquisite wine. The patio overlooks an amazing steep hillside with grape vines and coutryside. It is breathtaking. I enjoy that there are not huge amounts of people at this winery. If you like huge amounts of people, visit a commercial vineyard like Robert Mondavi. If you do not enjoy that, then you will LOVE Viader. The WINE is AMAZING too!
This was our first visit to Napa and we choose the Viader Winery as our first stop on day 1. Connie was our tasting host she and the views from the tasting room set the bar for all others. If you are looking for a small winery that delivers a personalized experience this is a must stop for you. The winery story is one that I am sure will be written about for years to come.AS for the wines....Some of the best I have had on our trip to Napa and the only winery that I have considered enrolling in their member program.
