Had a great afternoon at Three Fox Vineyard in Delaplane Virginia. Took my 2 year old Pointer Mix, Daisy, along for the trip. Can not say enough about this vineyard….wine was great, views were amazing and the staff was so gracious and friendly…..even provided Daisy a treat as I tasted the various selections of wine. Highly recomend this little gem if you are out in the area. Be sure to stroll along their paths to the beautiful creek in the lower meadow to cap off your stay!
This is one of the few grounds that let you go and pick your grapes and drink inside the vineyard. There are also more pleasant settings to drink your wine by the river on top of the hill. It is well thought to have a nice time with friends and family.
The outdoor tasting among the vines was a great experience. Our server was very very knowledgable and friendly - 11 wines to try! The venue is wonderful, with bocce, BBQ, lots of seating for picnics and even hammocks down by the stream, where we took a wine-induced power nap after tasting. Great time!
This winery and vineyard has a beautiful driveway that sends you past its vines. The tasting room is relatively small, but feels intimate. There are also plentiful outside seating areas all around the property. In warm weather, the staff will take orders and bring your wine to you while you sit by the creek or on top of a hill.
Would be a very nice to stop by for a picnic with your dog - open space down along the stream in the valley. Wine was ok - it is Virginia, but staff was friendly. We'll go back.
Lovely day for a stop at a small winery. There were many tables and chairs, hammocks, outdoor games, etc. The wine tasting was nice, but felt a bit rushed, there was no one else there. The ines are good and enjoyed walking the vineyards.
Every wine I tried I liked which is unusual at VA wineries for me. Eric the wine pourer was personable and very knowledgable when talking about eh wines, pairings, etc... The location is beautiful and I look forward to going back for one of their many events.
This location is again very nice, with dog-friendly owners that make it even better. The wines were not spectacular, but were good. I was quite surprised to find myself enjoy their pinot grigio when I typically do not. Overall, well worth a visit!
The tasting building was okay, the wine variety was okay, the wine taste was okay....pretty much average all the way around.
A small house set on a hill overlooking the vineyards holds the tasting room. This is a small place with a miniscule bar and limited menu of options. The pourer is both knowledgeable and personable, but the wines themselves are only decent. The tasting room is filled more with a variety of goods that go with the wine rather than bottles of wine itself. A nice setup in the vineyard with tables and chairs set at the end of the each row of vines for the full experience of tasting. This is a beautiful setting as you cross a creek at the entrance and drive up the hill to the house.
