A 5 block area that has a number of good eating places, bars, play house and side walk seating. You can party or just set outside and watch the interesting people that are going from place to place. You will find all ages however the ages you will find most is between 21 and 35.
Court Avenue is one fabulous eating establishment after another. Depending upon your tastes, you can feast on Italian cuisine or a great steak. The site is also the location of a great farmers' market in the summer. Very near the State Historical Museum and the capitol
It's actually a lot of fun once you get down there on a Friday or Saturday night. It's pretty safe (there's always police about to ensure that) it's a decent atmosphere as long as the weather is nice!
Court avenue is a nice area to hang out. Rent the bikes to see a little more of downtown. You can find the bikes at the east end of the bar section of court avenue. Saturday mornings they have a great farmers market--definitely worth checking out
Court Avenue is a great place to explore. Many different restaurants and pubs to chose from. Weekends are full of excitement.
The farmers market had fresh produce that included tomatoes, watermelon, peaches, apples, homemade breads etc, cut flowers.
Plenty of pubs and restaurants and parking. Walk to the river and downtown. A welcome visual relief from the too modern boxy downtown buildings. Great when the farmers market is in swing. But not worth a journey by any means.
My husband and I enjoyed the court ave area immensely do to the recommendation of the concierge of our hotel, from sushi to spaghetti, and from dance club to sports bars court ave is well planned and organized, with a brilliant Farmers Market on Saturdays.
Everything is in walking distance. You don't need to drive to bar hop and there are some fun clubs and lots of other people. We like to go eat dinner and stay all night for the fun festivities.
There is always something happening on Court Ave. From the farmers market on Saturday mornings. With lots of vendors to choose from to music and even flash mobs to watch. Then at night there are restaurants and bars for the night life. Thought out the srping and summer there are lots of different events happening all the time.
