I go to Knockhill for motorbike track days, to watch the BSB championship and also if I can some of the rounds of the Scottish motorcycle championship. Today to celebrate my oldest son birthday (12), we choose to do go karts.£27 for 30 minutes + another 5 minutes as Alex has the Scot Young cardThe fella working at the reception area always very attentive, the go karts in a great conditions and the track is great and wide enough for good passes. They supplied with one piece suit, helmets and gloves. We look forward to come back again
I bought my wife a track day experience and the day was great, the staff made her feel at ease. The facilities and food are good.Thank you Knockhill Racing
Received Aston Martin experience as a birthday gift. The instructors were excellent and very friendly.I would recommend the Driving experiences at Knockhill.
as you would expect from any racing motorsport grounds the food Is not the best but does the job of keeping the hunger off. got to say the curry sauce is good though not your cheap crap
Great racing, some good viewpoints but not much seating. A little pricey but I think prices governed by btcc. Reasonable food outlets and ok prices, except the coffee if it was coffee ? The only real downer was the VIP hanger ons, most not interested at all in the racing and because circuit is small this is plain for all to see.
fantastic weekend for 40th anniversary and touring cars bought these tickets for other half who is in to motorsport expecting to be a bit bored all weeekend, how wrong was I?
This is the second time we've visited Knockhill for the BTCC touring car racing. It's a lovely circuit in fantastic scenery. The circuit is short but there are lots of places to view from. The racing is always exciting here and you are pretty close to the action. Facilities are adequate rather than good but there's a really friendly atmosphere to the place. Highly recommended.
We finally got around to visit and watch the fun packed action. It was a good day out over all, the weather helped tremendously as I couldn't imagine being there in the rain. Points to note - If you have kids you should bring ear plugs or headphones as it can be very noisy.Bring your own food and drink, snack van queues were HUGE and weren't great. Parking isn't too far away so you can easily go back and forth. Bring your own seats as the seats provided aren't great, having your own seats would allow you to move around more and take in the track from different angles. The rubbish needs addressed as there was plenty of bins, people just didn't use them. Perhaps litter pickers could be out during the day as it made it look very untidy. Every so often we got wind of people openly smoking cannabis....not very pleasant. Kids get in free with an adult which is great.Fun filled day which constant action on the track. Great commentry also, kept you involved in the action. Plenty of cars on display. My favourite wad the old style fiesta, a true racing car that took most corners on 3 wheels!
Visited Knockhill for this years BTCC race weekend and it was even better than last year. The good weather helped us enjoy a full programme of events on this short but exciting track. As it's short you are not left with nothing to see as there is action on the visible all the time. A lap takes approx 55 seconds. Knockhill have improved their facilities over the years and there is plenty to do and see during the day. [see Youtube for action clips] The only down side is getting out of the circuit after the event. Last year we sat in a que for over an hour. This year, with the weather being fine, we wandered trough the pits and watched the teams pack up. If the weather is fine next year we intend to bring a BBQ and wait in style. Two hours after the races finished, cars were still waiting to get out. Please do something Knockhill management!
I've been to several circuits in the UK and have enjoyed watching the British Touring Cars but none more spectacular than at the Knockhill Circuit in Scotland. Perched on the top of Knockhill you are welcomed with beautiful panoramic views of Scotland leading down to the 4th road bridge on a clear day. It's one of the very rare circuits that offers excellent viewing all around the track and you can pretty much see it all from certain spots. The infield section can be a little muddy when the weather isn't too good so a good pair of walking boots / trainers is a must to avoid soggy feet. With the addition of large screens you can follow all the races on one of the countries most exciting close racing circuits.Like most big events expect to queue on the way in and out, I'd recommend getting there half an hour earlier than you have planned just to reduce the waiting time. Once parked up it's a very short walk before you can hear and smell the action with everything easily accessible from all angles. This is an ideal first time venue if you have never watched motorsport before and I'm sure Knockhill will have hooked. The only downside to the circuit is the queue to get out as it only has one exit so be prepared to wait or leave 15 minutes before the last race finishes to miss everything.
