With a little more vision, this area and street could be a lot better, and it is a pity, because it has a lot of potential.
What this street has going for it is there are no cars allowed so you can walk safely here. There are some vendors selling handmade woolens (I like the socks!) and you can also enjoy the shade from the trees. It has the potential to be turned into an European walking street but I'm not sure I want that. We felt quite safe walking here daytime and evening (around dinner). Lots of landmarks, cafes and restaurants nearby.
We loved walking the tree lined streets and calm within a busy city.Locals seem to enjoy it as well which made it a wonderful experience seeing families, especially generations enjoying the walk and time together.
These streets are lined with tress and is beautiful to walk along. Since the cars and the traffic is restricted, you can walk through these areas with ease and freely, enjoying the beauty and the peace. Along with strolling through here, you could also enjoy the various cafes and restaurants and local souvenir shopping as well.
a very busy market street selling good local food and drinks and also a range of craft and Xmas itemswell worth visiting but watch your pockets around the street children and little old ladies
This is my favourite street in Tirana. It is shady and cool and, best of all, pedestrianized (apart from the odd motorbike). At the start of the street is the Art museum which contains some fantastic social realism pictures, then you can have a coffee in the lovely Kinema Millenium gardens. If you walk a little further you reach the old fort with some Roman ruins which could easily go unnoticed. Even further along you cross the road to the old bridge of Tirana.
Aproveite.
