The Botanical Gardens is a free area where multiple gardens (with a theme) converge. It is on the north side of Dothan off 431 and it features many different trees, flowers and plants. It's a perfect spot to take kids, go for a walk or enjoy the peace and quiet.
This is a very small Botanical Garden but we love to go out to take walks there. Love the new coy pond that they have been working on. If you like roses they have a nice rose garden.
Great venue for events and weddings. Beautifully landscaped. Workshops are good. Small but a wonderful area.
The botanical gardens here in Dothan were nice I guess. I was very disappointed in the size though. It is very small and all sights can be seen in a 30 minute walk. They had a Halloween theme going when we went and it was nice to see all of the displays the high school kids made.
This is a little hidden gem in Dothan. Very calming and serene. A wonderful smooth walking path and so interesting along the way. There is also a little wetland area to observe. The rose gardens are gorgeous. Worth a trip.
This is a great place to go for a walk. The pathways are paved for easy walking and there are tons of beautiful flowers to look at. I enjoyed my walk there.
I even got married here. The gardens are well keep and during certain holidays they have things for kids. I love the big koi pond. And they are always putting in new things. Many people must not know about this place because it's never crowded and a good place to go and relax.
We attended the wedding of a friend here it is a very beautiful place but very limited amount of inside space they had to use tents outside. It would have been perfect for a little smaller crowd.
we went here to kill time with the kids before the peanut festival to open, it was a very nice place even when flowers wernt all in bloom. the paved paths were very nice.
The Dothan Area Botanical Gardens has been developed primarily with volunteer labor and donations. Some sections are still under development, but in season it is ablaze with beauty. A paved path winds its way among various kinds of gardens: roses, azaleas, flowering shrubs, succulents, aquatics, and others. All placed in a setting of pines and flowering dogwoods. The Gardens include a "wedding garden" all set up for outdoor ceremonies. Guests are greeted with a new visitor's center and friendly information. The cost is $5 for adults which can be deposited in a self-serve box at the entrance.
