No wonder they won't let the best Croatian wine out of the country. The Posip would rival even the best french burgundy. Staff were very knowledgable to give the best WSET sommelier a run for their money. Had a wonderful tasting experience with a great antipasti dish to compliment
We were regular visitors to D'Vino during our vacation in Dubrovnik. Cosy place with really nice atmosphere. The staff are very attentive and knowledgeble about the wines and cant do enough for you. Nice bar snack / tapas type food and cheese boards also. We dont see much Croatian wine here in UK - some of the big reds are really BIG - strong stuff!. Would highly recommend that you pop in - its located in an alley just of the main cobbled street so not hard to find.
My girlfriend & I found this little gem in a best of Dubrovnik guide online, and so glad we did. You'll find it down one of the side alleyways off the main plaza, and it's a really cosy bar that serves great Croatian wines. We went for the White/Red wine flights with bread/cheese/olives etc and it was an absolute bargain. A big shout out as well to one of the waiters (Mark) who was both very knowledgeable on the wines and also a damn nice guy to boot!
The wine and food were great and the staff went above and beyond to be friendly. I think this place is a must visit
We visited here on the trip advisor recommendation but found the service and wine advice/explanation a bit 'mechanical'. The price for tastings is fairly high so you may be better off seeking out a quality wine store and investing in a couple of fine Croatian bottles and sitting on the balcony of your accommodation taking in the wonderful views in this beautiful part of the world!
We went early one evening, (it does get busy later on), and took the white and red wine ‘flights’ respectively - A small sample of three Croatian wines. A great introduction to the wines of the country. Pick your favourite and expand from there. The staff are friendly and helpful, the atmosphere pleasant, and overall enjoyable experience.
When you stumble perspiring and flushed from the incredible city walls, with three grumpy children in tow, the air conditioned sanctuary D'Vino is just a few steps away. The staff are wonderful and very knowledgeable about local Croatian wine. Ice cold tap water was provided, along with juices for the kids and a fabulous 'flight' tasting of various local whites and reds. Relaxed atmosphere and good value too.
Excellent little wine bar in the old town, would highly recommend a visit. They bar has an excellent selection of wines by the glass or bottle. The food was excellent, especially the platter for two which filled four of us. The barman was also extremely knowledgeable and helpful.
Loved trying all the Croatian wine here at D'Vino. The guys made our last night in Dubrovnik special -- they truly go out of their way to make you part of the family. And, guys, don't worry -- I'm on the hunt for that Croatian red you told us is stocked up in a San Franciscan restaurant!
Sacha is the perfect party host. He keeps everyone engaged and is passionate about Croatian winesWe found ourselves returning each night for a night cap to enjoy the Matusko Dingac – a rich, earthy, chocolaty wine. Yum. The selection of wines is huge. This is a fun place that feels like your neighbourhood bar or pub. Thanks, Sacha!
