Spent Valentine's weekend here with our 3 children. Service was great and the housekeeping staff was exceptional. Restaurant was great (Can't beat a restaurant where the kids eat free!) Both mornings we had the breakfast buffet and for dinner one evening we ate at the restaurant too! Prices very reasonable for a full service hotel too! One suggestion would be to have a room service menu in our room as we wanted to order room service our first night, but no menu with prices/options. We had a minor problem with our bill (We stayed on a reward night through IHG Rewards) but the Front Desk was quick to fix it prior to us checking out. We will be back! Thank you for a wonderful family weekend getaway.
Perfect for Young families looking for a getaway. We had a great time. We will go back in the winter.
The waterpark was fine for a hotel/waterpark. It was rather average and small, but clean. The hotel was clean, but noisy. The lobby was difficult to navigate.
We took our children (ages, 9, 10, and 10) here for 2 nights over spring break and all in all had a pretty good time. The room was very clean, yet small (family suite) and unfortunately we were right next to a door and stairwell. It was very noisy till about midnight... which made getting the kids to bed at a decent hour nearly impossible. The water park was fun, the kids spent a lot of their time there and at the arcade as well. It was small compared to major indoor watermarks but it was still nice... Two big slides, a lazy river, a large kids play area, and plenty of lifeguards. We stayed on a Friday and Saturday and it was very very crowded. The food at the restaurant was pretty good (we had the pizza) and kids eat free! Added bonus. The breakfast buffet however was terrible... styrofoam plates, cold eggs, and hash browns, not to mention the service that morning was horrible.. our waitress never came to bring us new clean plates or refill our water and coffee (which was much needed) Good news is... There's a Bob Evans nearby (within walking distance) We ate there the next morning and it was wonderful. Also, don't forget to visit Cabela's which is also within walking distance from the hotel.
The waterpark is small, but ok for younger kids. There isn't a lot to do for older kids. The food at the Treetop Pub & Grill was awful. I asked our waitress what the soup of the day was and she answered "I'm not really sure. Do you want me to go find out?" The steak we ordered medium rare came out well done. My salad had a rotten cucumber in it. All in all an ok experience. We're really just here to go to Cabela's anyway.
We arrived on Easter Sunday and it was packed, but that did not stop the front desk staff from being happy and helpful. They got us into our room early and when we got to our room it was nice and clean and we made ourselves at home! We didnt waist time getting to the water park with is actually pretty clean and bigger than I had expected and the staff and life guards we were very aware of what was going on and had no problem letting people know if they were out of line. The snack bar is a bit pricy so bring some snack from home! The arcade is ok but a bit expensive and the bar and grill is not too bad but again a bit pricey but.... the kiddos eat for free so that help alot. My only true complaint is the wi-fi sucks! Other than that we will be back
liked - comfortable hoteldisliked - food servicesmall pool in hotel decor is very rustic, kids liked the stuffed birds in flight
I have been to this hotel now three times the last time was today and it will be my last time. We did not spend the night and only arrived to use the indoor water park for a day pass. Many complaints from many guests about the food quality and time to get the food. I thought it was a bunch of hooey.... But I was wrong. At noon I was first in line to the treehouse pub and grill. I immediately ordered 2 chicken Caesars to go. The food took 32 min to come out ... Other people got their meals a before mind including 2 whole pizzas made to order and burgers for an entire family. The water park was ver cool not the advertised 80 degrees and the water temp was cold.... We will not be going back
We stayed in the 1 King Bed and 2 Bunk Beds suites. The rooms were clean and well appointed. The attached restaurant was adequate for pizza and sandwiches especially since kids eat free and we had 4 with us. We had 2 issued during our stay. One was with the showers. We came back to the room from the water park freezing cold since we visited in January and there was not enough hot water for even one of our party of six to take a shower. We all froze. I called management twice and nothing was done and no apologies. The second issue- we had advance purchased the breakfast for the morning. When we arrived at the restaurant there were 25+ people in line waiting to get in. We had to go elsewhere.
I enjoyed the water park. It was not really busy. The kids and grown ups had a great time. The staff was friendly. The Hot Springs was just a little too hot
