Not in the main tourist area of Crown Point, this is along the Caribbean Sea side of Tobago, on the northern coast. A great stop off on a road trip to Charlotteville, mainly because it's quiet and also a working beach with fishermen often seen pulling in their seine. Definitely worth a visit.
The beach in one word is... Stunning!!!A bit of a drive from wherever your are staying but worth it. The colour of the water, the lizards, the crabs, the exotic birds. A nice small beach in a bay, the same bay the Curosoe's landed in btw. It has a great restaurant serving local cuisine, roti, oxtail, shrimp, chicken, goat and fish of the day. I had the oxtail, and I have not tasted this dish done better before. My mom used make it very well but this was better. The side of rice was divine as well. Meals are about $40-70TT. Home made ice cream on site is good but pricey at $40TT. There are some artisans selling their wares there but they don't hassle you. Highly recommend as a day trip w lunch.
You will love it. Never crowded and when you are lucky you will see many birds as well. Highly recommended. The restaurant will not disappoint at all.
A taxi drive away from our hotel, this was easily visited from Speyside. There was a good expanse of beach and the sea was clear. There were some rolling waves and rocky areas close to shore which could make entering and leaving the water a bit tricky if you are not agile. Behind the beach was a stream with plenty of birds. The little shack made very acceptable food at a good cost.
The trip by car is very nice and the mountains we cross to join the englishman bay is wonderful with nice views to the sea. We continued to charlotte ´s ville to finish the trip. Nice as well.
Great hazardous trip to reach but very interesting. In fact far more so than the bay. If yu want secluded and no comforts, this place is for you. Sadly not for us.
The bay is great for quiet sun bathing. There is a restaurant on site and a craft shop. The bay is off the north side road on the way to the rainforrest. The drive is quiet and the air is fresh a sheer delight to observe mother nature is all her majesty.
A beautiful beach, picturesque and one of the finest of the Island. Visited by Taxi so didn't have long enough to enjoy.
This beach i have been to ovet the years and must be a contender for the best beach in the world For sure its an adventure to get there but its so worth it.
