The relatively new renovation has produceda beautiful space and environment. The sound is lovely. Really nice space for a concert, lecture. Nice location in city.
My husband and I love the acoustics and the design of the Koernel Hall as well as their repertoire. Last October, we attended a wonderful recital of a Polish pianist, Rafal Blechacz. It was a memorable experience.
Its an amazing concert hall, and offers music lessons as well. I WILL TAKE piano lessons from there soon as well as vocals.
We went to the Anne Sofie von Otter - Angela Hewitt recital and were impressed once again by the marvelous acoustics of this hall. The performances themselves were also great. I can think of no better concert hall in the GTA, though the George Weston Hall in North York is also very good.
Is very educational and experiential for all those who loves music and culture in general. Very vibrant enclosure for enjoy a piece of music.
A wonderful evening listening to the fifth and final Massey Lecture featuring Adrian Clarkson. I enjoy the venue and the walk to the seats so much. Although not being a music aficionado, the sound was amazing. The architecture a true Toronto delight. Service at the bar was friendly and efficient which is not always the case, in this type of establishment
The Royal Conservatory of Music has an impressive new home -- an almost complete redo inside the shell of the existing building...and you will agree especially if you were familiar with the old barn before the reno. There are two or more new Halls, and even features like the cafeteria on the south east side make you feel really positive about all the work they put into the Conservatory.
If you find some musical event here, do not miss it. The Koerner hall is the instant favourite of all classical music adherents. It is a beautiful and comfortable hall with spectacular acoustics. I live quite nearby and go constantly and even though we have a great symphony hall and Opera house, the Koerner cannot be beat.
I was impressed with acoustic and design of the whole object. I recommend to go there for joy and education.
Go there for Classical, Jazz, World Music and readings. an amazingly diverse offering in a beautiful setting.
