We went there being major animal lovers.. we had gone to turpentine and loved it so we wanted to try this. The drive through was fun. Feeding various animals as they came to the car was great. We wanted to bottle feed the petting zoo animals. We got back at 345 as they advertise bottle feeding starts at 4. We fed and tried to pet some of the animals. Many were skiddish which concerned us. The aligator area was beyond too small for a reptile to live. We were still ready to help bottle feed.At 355 we asked the staff inside when bottle feeding was. She said at 4 and was surprised by the time. We sat around until 415. My wife then asked her if we need to go outside. She said that she talked to her boss and it was already done after she repeated the time of 4. No staff member was outside between the time we got back to that time. It was beyond frustrating since we really wanted to join in and the communication was horrible.I then emailed the contact on their page. She replied that the girl is still in training and offered me a pass to come back. While that is a nice gesture it was by no means the girls fault. I get it. Shes in training but lacks communication. If bottle feeding is advertised and they encourage people to help then it needs to be addressed to the park goers. When it comes down to it she should have haid a trained person with her to help.Great photography but really small areas for reptiles. A regular zoo has more space.
This was a nice area. Most of the animals were free roaming and looked very happy. The rest were being rearranged in the outside areas so they were in slightly small areas. Still seemed very happy. Loved the beautiful mountain view and it was nice to see the animals roaming through trees, rocks, and water.Quite a few of the animals are ready to be fed. They walk right up to the car and sniff. I still have nose prints on the window. : )The only place I would like to see more room are the reptile exhibits. But from what I understood, the areas they are in are only because it's cold outside now. They normally have larger areas. The petting zoo was nice. All the animals wanted attention and they were very lovey. My favorite part was the parakeet room. The birds were very happy and has a nice area to live in.
We had a great time at the zoo! It was a very clean and well kept zoo. Definitely buy the bucket of food. It was so much fun feeding the animals. Don't miss the petting zoo. It was as much fun as driving through the 4 mile trek. We will definitely be going back!
It was an amazing trip, being able to see all of the animals and even the animals coming up to our car was amazing.
Went in paid our admission and bought us a bucket of food for the animals. I work and drive all the time so being on vacation the wife decides she will drive us through. Sign says keep your windows almost all the way up. So after we crossed the cattle guard we hadn't seen anything yet and old me my window was plum down. We came up on some deer on my wife's side. We were having us a good time chunkin food out her window. And "my arm was up on my window sill" about that time something was messing with my arm, the Silverado about got a new sun roof. I yelled, wife's guts bout fell out from laughing as I had another whole mess of deer on my side. They didn't bite but scared me to death. Even if they had it was my own fault. They were the most lovable things you could see and feed. Diffidently God's beautiful creatures. The rest of the ride was great feeding the exotic deer, zebras and all other kinds of animals along the way that could come up to your window and some behind fences. Went through the walk through petting zoo at the end. It was also very enjoyable. It was a vacation for just her and I but will for sure bring our granddaughter back to go through it.
This was a nice little drive through zoo that my girls really enjoyed. I especially got a kick out of all of the animals rushing to the car...we were able to get really up close and personal.
The zoo had a variety of animals. They had MANY deer. Enjoyed being able to feed the animals as we went through. The petting zoo was okay. The price was a little high(15.00 each adult) for no more than you saw there and had to buy a cup (4.00) or bucket (8.00) of food if you wanted to feed the animals. I am undecided if I would go back.
It was a nice drive thru animal viewing. I did expect the road to be paved foras much as they charge but it was a rocky dirt road. Lots of deer & antelope varieties. Did expect more variety that what was there. Petting zoo was not impressive nor was the price they charged to buy the food to feed them.
We had seen signs for this place so on the way back from Eureka Springs decided to visit. What a nice surprise. The price seemed a little high, but it was well worth it. The drive-thru was fun with animals coming to the car to eat. The ones in cages you could throw food to. Also, the petting zoo area at the entrance was fun as well, you've got to see the little donkey who brays and begs for food and then kicks the others out of the way. Bible "promise" verses posted throughout which was a nice change. All in all, a great place to visit if you're in the area.
It isn't huge and it cost $20 per person with only 2 kinds of small cats, a Servel and a Lynx in small cages. It was a cute drive through, enjoyable. I enjoyed the one in Branson more, it is a walk through so completely different.
