Denizi iyi, kumu güzel, manzarası olağanüstü, konaklama imkanları kısıtlı, Seymen Otel'i tavsiye edebilirim. Çevre, birkaç gününü küçük sahil kasabasında geçirmek isteyenler için ideal. Sadece Kale ve manzarası için bile gidilir.Akşamları tepede ateş yakar ve Kızkalesi'nin dolunay altındaki ihtişamını saatlerce izlerdim.
Mersinin denizi etrafina yapilan dev siteler mersini bitirmis. Geceleri yogun lagim kokusu gercekten cok rahatsiz edici.
I went with a couple of buddies and found that this place is incredible. For 2£ (.50¢) you can get a chair and umbrella to bum around the beach. There are vendors always walking around serving chi (tea) and selling strawberries and figs. There are also paddle boats you can rent to paddle out to the castle. Once at the castle you can go to the very top and enjoy the spectacular view. However best part of all is how warm the Mediterranean water was. So nice!!!

This is a beautiful castle located on a small island off the coastal tourist town of Kizkalesi. The town is full of hotels, spa's, and resorts to stay at, varying in price and star ratings. Everywhere in Kizkelesi parking is limited, but if you stay in a hotel each one has a Valet whom will find a place and park for you. They park the cars in rows down alleys, so it might take a while to part or retrieve your vehicle. To gain entry to maiden Castle you’ll have to rent a cheap paddle boat, expensive party boat, or attempt to swim the distance of 1000ft or 1/5 a mile, which is not recommended! Once there, a local sitting in a chair at the castle gate will charge you approx. 5 Lira for admittance. If you’re into geocaching there is a cache located inside! At night the castle is illuminated with color changing lights. Legend has it; there was a king, who had a beautiful daughter. But a prophecy predicted she would die of a snakebite. To prevent this the king had a castle built in the sea. For sure, his daughter would be safe there! But as we always learn in legends and fairy tales, the prophecy will be inevitable. Our dear princess got fresh fruit brought to her every day. Somehow a snake ended up in one of the baskets and the prophecy was fulfilled. The mainland is full of things to see and do as well. Korykos Castle is the mainland castle which has 3 chapel ruins within and a cistern located in the field north of it will cost 5 Lira for entry. Parking is very limited, so many park along the highway. Directly across the D-400 from Korykos are necropolises with a carving of a Roman centurion. Prior to entering the city on D-400 just after the large bend in the road is an un-named dirt road leading up into the hills. This road connects with another dirt road to the left, which are full of ruins scattered everywhere. A large Byzantine church is located there with many cross carvings, and even larger Basilica ruins are located just past it surrounded by intricately carved sarcophagus. Back on D-400 just after entering Kizkelesi; if you take the first right road named Cakir Hasan CD. It will take you to Seytanderesi Canyon where Adamkaylar ruins of Roman necropolises are located. Only 5 mins south of the city is located the Caves of Heaven and Hell and the Asthma Cave.
Kiz = meisje, kalesi = kasteel, dus Meisjeskasteel.
