If you have never been to a Jungle Jim's it is a huge wildly designed store. I don't want to give things away, but if you have children with you, they will love it too. Things to look for. Gorilla, ship, bathrooms, hot aisles, countries, cheese and so much more.
The Jungle always has what you need. The wilder the better. Always has loads of lines open for check out. Never a wait. Lots of help to find what you are looking for. Great Sale items also.
I was totally impressed with the various foods offered from around the world. However I was able to stump them. I was looking for Pearl Sugar to make REAL Belgian Waffles but even with asking for assistance I could not come up with this product. Also, I would have loved it if they had stocked REAL Belgian Waffle "snack cakes". They have these in Belgium. People snack on them everywhere. They are a bit like a "Little Debbie Snack" because they are individually wrapped. So tasty with bits of crunchy sugar inside! (That's where Pear Sugar comes in...) There is NOTHING out of a box called "Belgian Waffle Mix" in America that can really compare with those in Belgium made with yeast and they are addictive. At any rate if you love travel and various foods this is the pace to come! They certainly make it fun! Do not hesitate to enter the porta potty...it is a secret passage to the restroom! Looking for gifts for the kids? They have really cute suckers etc. that appear to have real edible insects in them....I am sure they would love the "ooo" factor of those! There is something for everyone here...!
This is a large grocery store, but a place everyone needs to see once.Jungle Jim's is an international market. In addition to your regular groceries, it also include foods from around the world. I am having problems describing the scope of goods available, but if you are an impulse buyer, hold on to your wallet. Huge selection of beer and liquor, cigars, Soda pop, fresh vegetables, bread etc.Probably one of the few grocery stores your kids wont be bored.
Ultimate international market - people travel for miles to shop here. Foods from many countries as well as attractions for kids.
We drove a couple of hours to come here and so glad that we did. We expected to surprised by all the different foods, and were not disappointed. There were large departments for cheese (huge area), fish (had many tanks of live fish), veggies, bakery and of course the hot sauce. We were looking for very specific candies and cookies from Europe that we can not find in Columbus. We were so excited when we found not just what we were looking for, but so much more! Before we went, we read a few reviews and some folks thought that the store was expensive. We thought that everything was reasonably priced....some items were even very inexpensive. This trip saved me quite a few dollars in postage by not having to order these items online. Great store to visit and you will leave with food you love!! Cannot wait to visit this store in the summer! And this place is famous for it's bathrooms.....I even took a picture!
Freshest meat and seafood department I've found in Cincinnati. If you can't find what you are looking for at this grocery, you can't get it. Love spending time looking at all the various different types of foods. Looking forward to doing some beer/wine tasting here in the future. Would definitely recommend this place as well as return.
I used to live in Fairfield and I can honestly say that this was my favorite place to shop. The way they broke down the store by country and the fact that almost everything was completely authentic was great.
Yes, it's a grocery store. But it's amazing and fun. We have been making visits a few times a year for 20 years, and it's still a good time. There are goofy animatronics and displays. There are tastings - especially hot sauce tastings. And there is incredible food and drink. Incomparable selection of international and domestic beers and wines, international foods (many with labels I can't even read!), cheeses, olive oil, baked goods, and produce. Plus an amazing bakery and the biggest gluten-free department I've seen in a store. The only drawback: it can be very crowded, especially on Saturday, but if you aren't too claustrophobic, it's worth it!
I live close by, so I am there 2-3 times a week! If you can't find something there, it doesn't exist!Unbelievable international market. Unless you have been there - you can't imagine how large & how great this market is! Kids love this place - characters singing everywhere! Fish market - unbelievable! Takes one visit to make you want to come back often!
